Japan’s mita sneakers continue to usher in hybridized Air Max styles with their stamp of approval, prepping up a collabo pair of the Nike Air Max Humara next. The release gets the familiar mita treatment consisting of elephant print and grid-like mesh, a little bit of ostrich leather eveb hopping in up front for the toe bumper to further diversify the textures of the upper. Overshadowed by the Air Magma and Lava Dome, Nike’s Air Approach is one of the Swoosh’s more underrated proto-ACG styles. The Nike Air Approach 2012 looks to change that perception as they’re treated to a taller silhouette and medial zippering atop a brand new sole setup common to the aforementioned classics’ updates, which combines a traditional lug sole with Nike’s classic waffle cushioning. This Dark Khaki and Seaweed Quickstrike debut blends suede and ripstop nylon for a rugged, earthy vibe made all the more eye-catching thanks to some of the best multicolored laces we’ve seen all year, and they’re available now at select Nike Sportswear stores like End.

It’s Flightposite vs. the Goadome in All Conditions Gear’s latest epic adventure, as the Nike I-95 Posite Max stretches both familiar designs for the latest Nike Foamposite Boots. Following in the tradition of hybrids like the Foamdome and Air Bakin’ Posite Max, the ACG I-95 Posite Max will arrive later this quarter with its name referencing the Mid-Atlantic’s Foamposite fanaticism and colorways referencing the OG Flightposites, including the original Metallic Gold and a seasonally appropriate blackout edition. The last Nike Air Max Humara preview run here on Sneaker News caught our eye with a 3M eyestay, but the pair pictured above is more about reflecting the season. Coming up for a November release, this combination of the Terra Humara with the faux-retro Air Max Correlate sole setup features a mix of Total Orange and burgundy atop a black and Dark Obsidian base. The result is something like an ESPN Thursday night game at Lane Stadium, and you can see more of the latest Virginia Tech-flavored fall release from Nike Sportswear after the jump before pre-ordering from Titolo.

We’ve reached the season when the rugged weather-readiness of trail shoes makes them an essential part of a well-rounded sneaker rotation, this latest model a shining example of the middle ground between boot and runner. This week, SN is teaming up with online sneaker haven, Sneakerpedia, to give our readers a look into some of our staff’s all-time favorite shoes. We’ll each be doing a Top 20 list counting down some of the most beloved treasures in our personal collections. I’m up first and I admit, I’m not sure that I can really say that these are my 20 favorite sneakers ever, but this is definitely somewhere in the ballpark. If I sat down to make this list in a month or a year, it might look a little different, but these are twenty that I feel particularly strong about right now and fit the criteria of being either out in the current rotation or at least easily accessible.
You won’t find Yeezy’s or the latest Foamposite heat on my list. There are no PE’s, scarce SB Dunks and not even too many Jordans or basketball shoes for that matter, so if that turns you off, you should probably stop reading. You aren’t about to see the 20 rarest, most expensive or most envy-provoking shoes that I own, because as Jay-Z once said, “When I rock jewels, it ain’t to impress you.” These are 20 shoes that I unconditionally cherish for whatever the reason, all hoopla and hypebeastery aside. As a lifelong sneaker connoisseur, my philosophy has always been simple and I’d encourage it to one and all: I wear what I like and I don’t worry what anyone else thinks about it. And for me, what I like are the classics. For the most part, I like my sneakers how I like my music and movies – from the late 80′s and early 90′s – a theme that will unsubtly play out in the selections found below with no apologies.

Nike’s procedural Max Air upgrades over the last two years has been met with mixed reviews – some like the idea of a revamped original, others would prefer the OG to sit in the vault for good. ‘Hit or miss’ is probably the best way to describe these 360 Air classics, but we’re fine with deeming the Air Max Terra Sertig a ‘hit’; the upper has been left untouched (rather than re-done in Fuse, which we must say would be pretty cool for the Sertig), and the voluptuous shape of the 360 Max Air is actually similar to the original midsole of this off-roading gem. Oneness is stocking these right now and as we already showed you, Wale got his pair in already, so peep the extra angles below and watch for these to hit Nike retailers soon.

While he may be most known for his various ahead-of-schedule Foamposite sightings, Wale’s been the dude to debut plenty of footwear styles beyond the Nike Air Penny line. The latest is the Nike Air Max Terra Sertig, one of many ACG remixes on deck that slide some bubbled treatment into the lower bits of the silo.
