The word “quickstrike sneaker” is a familiar phrase in sneakerhead vocabulary. How about…quickstrike store? The Nike Sportswear by Head Porter Plus retail space in Tokyo has officially opened, but will remain open for just one year. To say the museum exhibit availability of the new NSW store is intriguing is quite the understatement; this new Nike spot will offer the latest in Nike Sporstwear gear as well as exclusive releases like the Nike HTM2 Run Boot – a Tier Zero release. Nike ACG Air Abaziro – Black – Varsity Purple – Cool Grey

Nike ACG made a brilliant choice in adding a grid pattern on the new Air Salbis Mid GTX that dropped last fall. All Conditions Gear managed to capture the spirit of the original collection, and update it while keeping things quirky. Here’s another trail runner with an engineer pad for the underlay, the new Nike ACG Air Abaziro. They use a similar palette to the relatively subdued Pyroclast that just dropped, but these are significantly busier. They just released at Nike Harajuku, so we’ll keep you posted on a possible stateside release.

Celebrity Feet: Omarion – Nike ACG Woodside Boot

R&B singer Omarion visited BET’s 106 & Park this week to promote his new album, Ollusion, which is available now in stores. Omarion showed up rocking a pair of Nike ACG’s newest boots, the Woodside Boot, a duck boot inspired silhouette that was launched only a few weeks ago at Premium Laces. While we might not be picking up his new album these Nike Woodside boots are definitely worth picking up if you’re in need of some new Winter boots.

Nike ACG Air Max Chisulo Boot – Black – Aquamarine

Just in case some of you suffering from the the wrath of Winter’s snow haven’t gotten a much needed pair of boots, you still have a chance to pick up some footwear that mixes form with function. We gave a glimpse of Nike ACG’s newest boot style, the Chisulo, looking almost like a Trainer Dunk. The Chisulo, of course, offers a beefier structure with a upgraded boot midsole. Just in case you weren’t really feeling the last colorway, this pair comes in leather and offers a colorway similar to the Aqua 8’s. Safari print around the toebox and heel, along with speckled midsole, seems to be a staple to this shoe style and is winning ‘heads quickly. Cop a pair now at Finishline.

Nike ACG Woodside Boots – Available

All Conditions Gear labels have graced some of the craziest sneakers and boots in Nike’s history, but we still didn’t expect something this outlandish. Here comes the Nike ACG Woodside in all its duck-booted glory. The pair pictured above comes in the traditional brown/tan/green palette, while a black and white joint you’ll see after the jump puts a new spin on this immortal design. Celebrity Feet: Spike Lee & Anthony Anderson – New York Knicks Home Game

Various celebrities including Q-Tip, Tracy Morgan, Jay-Z, and more have been spotted wearing “heat” at New York Knicks’ home games this 2009-10 NBA season. It was no different when the Los Angeles Clippers visited Madison Square Garden last Friday night, where Spike Lee and actor Anthony Anderson were spotted courtside along with Howard Stern and Adrienne Bailon. Spike Lee was seen wearing a pair of Air Jordan Spi’zike Winterized Boots, but Spike’s pair looks to be a bit different than the all Black pair that was released a couple months ago, it seems Spike has a pair that were customized for him to include a hit of Blue, either that or the lighting of the camera caused the toe tip of his Spi’zike Boots to look Blue. Anthony Anderson was seen rocking a pair of Nike Cortez’s in Black and White nylon.

Jordan Brand Fall 2010 Footwear & Apparel Preview

We’re all in agreement that 2010 has some quality drops in store from Jordan Brand. Here’s further proof, as taken from the Fall 2010 catalog. Keep in mind that this doesn’t include ‘Quickstrike’ drops and some of the better LS releases are blacked out for mystery, but here goes:

You already know about the black, white and citrus Air Jordan IX (9) Retros slated for July, and those will be joined by the OG white/red and black/red/charcoal pairs in August and September, respectively. There’s also an AJII retro dropping in August, with a new Six Rings that might be all reflective 3M a la Raging Bull DMP, scheduled for September.

As for Air Jordan Force Fusions, we do see a few sprinkled in, but word is the project is wrapping up. You’re still not going to get too far away from ‘hybrid’ status, though, given the exceptional and voluminous history of Air Jordan designs. With this in mind, kicks like the Pro Strong, Jordan Airs and One6 One7 are sure to have you calling out the familiar aspects.

And we’re familiar with the Air Jordan 1 Retro’s status as Jordan Brand’s ‘Dunk’, which has caused much gnashing of teeth amongst purists. Cheer up old timers, cos these new colourways are looking better than ever, and there’s a lot of cool apparel to match. Yours truly’s personal favourites are the ‘The Ones, The Threes, The Fives’ shirts in that ever-popular Helvetica ‘&&&’ motif, along with the ‘crackle up’ elephant (print) shirt. Nike SFB (Special Forces Boot) @ 21 Mercer Saturday

Two more colourways of the revolutionary Nike SFB (also known as the Special Forces Boot) will be dropping this Saturday, December 5th at 21 Mercer, Nike’s Sportswear store in SoHo, NYC. As we’ve reported before, the Nike SFB is both technically innovative and historically significant to Nike’s past, and this upcoming release comes with an extra surprise: a fully removable full-length zipper tab that spans the entire tongue of the shoe. The classic olive and black colourways do their job as they convey a disciplinarian attitude without abandoning a sense of style.

Nike Magma AC – Light Brown/Black/Red @ 21 Mercer Saturday

The Nike ACG Magma AC is now available stateside at 21 Mercer , Nike’s Sportswear store in SoHo, NY. Initially released in Japan at Mita, the Magma AC comes in a brown-black colorway and what curiously appears to be a Nike Blazer midsole. With the bronzed lace pegs and classic Nike logo branded on the rear heel, the Nike Magma AC looks fit for the outdoorsy type while the vibrant red shoelaces brighten it up and give the Magma AC a casual appeal.
