Overshadowed by the Air Magma and Lava Dome, Nike’s Air Approach is one of the Swoosh’s more underrated proto-ACG styles. The Nike Air Approach 2012 looks to change that perception as they’re treated to a taller silhouette and medial zippering atop a brand new sole setup common to the aforementioned classics’ updates, which combines a traditional lug sole with Nike’s classic waffle cushioning. This Dark Khaki and Seaweed Quickstrike debut blends suede and ripstop nylon for a rugged, earthy vibe made all the more eye-catching thanks to some of the best multicolored laces we’ve seen all year, and they’re available now at select Nike Sportswear stores like End.

We’ve gotta stop for a second and give a tip of the hat to Nike’s snowboarding boot efforts as of late, with a barrage of bonkers pairs coming from that sector including the Air Jordan III and Nike Air 180 inspired versions. Up next is a design completely its own, the Nike Zoom Double Tongue Boot crafted with one Danny Kass in mind, the quickstrike release indeed sporting two tongues and a crazy fighter jet style look at goes way further than the Air Jordan V did with that inspiration. Nike’s snowboard boot offerings continue to pay homage to well known palettes within the sneakerhead community, the recent Nike Air 180 looking Zoom Ites boot being followed up by this, the Nike Zoom Kaiju outfitted with an unmistakable Air Jordan III combo. Along with the black on cement grey colorblocking the boots even go so far as to don the elephant print, approximating the shape of those sections onto the chunky slope style. It’s Flightposite vs. the Goadome in All Conditions Gear’s latest epic adventure, as the Nike I-95 Posite Max stretches both familiar designs for the latest Nike Foamposite Boots. Following in the tradition of hybrids like the Foamdome and Air Bakin’ Posite Max, the ACG I-95 Posite Max will arrive later this quarter with its name referencing the Mid-Atlantic’s Foamposite fanaticism and colorways referencing the OG Flightposites, including the original Metallic Gold and a seasonally appropriate blackout edition.
