Adaptable to an extent which most other classic basketball designs could only dream, the Air Force 1 gives us another new variation for the colder months. Featuring a timely mix of Silver Sage and Medium Olive with just a hint of blaze orange to make sure you see what’s going on here, the Nike Air Force 1 High DCNS Military Boot is a Watershield-equipped answer to the demands placed upon your footwear rotation by the inevitable messy weather. Details like the multi-ticked laces, buffalo sockliner and brass eyelets really push these over the top, and you’ll find them available at select Nike Sportswear dealers like Extra Butter.

With the season of colder weather and inclement conditions coming near, we should begin sampling boots and such – like the Air Approach 2012. Featuring the classic ACG Air Approach upper with a Magma-like zipper on the medial wall and a reinforced solid outsole, this Air Approach 2012 brings an unmatched level of style and class to a Nike boot. Two distinct colorways of tan/olive and black/volt (the latter using a solid crepe-like opaque outsole) are beginning to hit retailers overseas as Nike Harajuku reports a fresh stock, so watch out for these at Nike Sportswear retailers soon.

We’ve seen Nike apply winterized touches to a few popular designs this season, attaching an ‘OMS’ designation as an identifier for details like rugged traction patterns, boot lacing setups and earthy colorways. But while we’re still waiting to find out exactly what that acronym means, a new pair has just dropped with a name that makes us wonder if we can just drop the confusion altogether. The Nike Dunk High Winter is reminiscent of the earliest generation of Nike Sport Culture hybrid styles (most notably 2007′s Trainer Dunk), and reminds us how this modular design movement has moved beyond Frankensteining into some highly functional boot hybrids over the past few years. Let us know how these compare to the ACG Lava Dunk after you’ve seen more below, then grab this ‘Blackout’ Dunk High Winter straight from NikeStore.

Just about every single sneaker brand has expanded their boot offerings over the past few years, and if a relative newcomer like Supra can make their skate offerings into ruggedized winter wear, surely Nike’s action sports division can do the same with a Swoosh skate mainstay. The Nike Mogan Mid 2 OMS is the first time we’ve seen such an attempt, as the previous (and arguably most popular to date) version of the Mogan series gets a DWR water-resistant treatment and a chunky sole that evokes golden era Air Trainer tooling. Filbert and ‘Blackout’ styles get us off to a good start this season, and you’ll find them available now straight from NikeStore.

Nike All Conditions Gear’s boot output over the past year-plus has been something like Matthew Hazley’s epic 2005 Triple Crown hike. ACG comes through with another new style that’s both fashionable and functional thanks to a design that draws upon classic boots and Nike Sportswear’s legendary Dunk High. The Nike ACG Woodridge Supreme 6 debuts as a Dark Grey premium leather Quickstrike with Volt highlighting the striped Goodyear welted sole (*a name for the manufacturing process, not a collaboration like adidas’ Goodyear racing designs). Tell us how these compare to recent standouts like the Zoom Meriwether, Lunar MacLeay and the 2012 Magma and Lava Dome updates, and grab the first Woodrige Supreme 6 from Caliroots.

Just because it got a ’2012′ update like the Air Magma, don’t predict doomsday for the Nike Air Lava Dome just yet. We’ve seen a few styles for fall and this new one points forward to the holiday season with its unique blend of aquatic greens and Sunburst red branding. It’s the kind of quirky colorway we haven’t seen much of until recently in the sneaker world, but one that’s typical of the exuberant All Conditions Gear collection. Expect this new Air Lava Dome 2.4 in store at Nike Sportswear retailers for October and check out some more images in the meantime.

Catalog images often provide our first glimpse at a new upcoming model, but here’s a case where seeing them after a clearer set pays off with a much better understanding of what to expect at retail. The Nike Air Lava Dome 2012 has a refreshed sole a la Air Magma 2012, and thanks to the translucent green-bottomed pair we saw earlier this week, we know to expect a slightly spongey, somewhat see-through look on the other two colorways revealed in these images. Armed with our earlier close-up look and evidence of additional colorblocking possibilities, we can start to imagine what the future holds for the Lava Dome 2012, and you can see all three in more photos below.

Nike keeps the pedal to the metal when it comes to new boot designs, and in this case, extends the reimagination of its classics we just saw on the Air Magma 2012. In fact, the Nike Air Lava Dome 2012 features a very similar sole update to the contemporary Magma, including the same translucent bottoms that made the earlier revelation so intriguing. This black mix of suede and ripstop nylon goes with a ghoulish green that looks like it would glow in the dark, but a quick flip of the switch proves otherwise. They’re a bit higher than the Lava Dome we’ve come to know and love over the past three decades and prove that just about every classic Swoosh silhouette can be refreshed with a new look, and you can see more of this first pair after the jump below.
