Back in early 2009, Sneaker News first scooped you on the Nike SFB (then Special Forces Boot) at a time when it was unclear to whom these would be marketed. The SFB has become a hit with combat officers and others who need the rugged protection of kevlar-sheathed leather, its midtop variant a great mix of that hardnosed appeal plus a potentially more wardrobe friendly shape. And now just as it followed big brother SFB to market, the Nike Special Field Boot Chukka comes to NIKEiD so you can customize its unique design with your own choice of earthy colors and camouflage patterns. A few sample pairs await your click below; which one looks most like what you’d create for your own pair at NIKEiD?

Whether right now might be the absolute pinnacle is a subject for serious debate, but there’s no questioning Nike All Conditions Gear has been hotter over these past couple years than any time since the early ’90s explosion. One thing we haven’t seen much of from ACG, though, is models appearing in multiple heights to satisfy hikers and outdoorsmen of all tastes. Thankfully, that changes with the new Nike ACG Oze GTX in Mid and Low cuts, a model whose first three colorways display a range from organic and earthy all the way to classic ACG exuberance. Check them out up close after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for release info. via Shoe Planet

The Nike ACG Zoom Meriwether is at the head of the class of a new generation of All Conditions Gear boots. This rugged yet elegant design has excelled to this point by proving an absolute command over tonal suede applications, but this latest pair manages to climb just as high by embracing one the models that laid the foundation for ACG. This ‘Bison’ Zoom Meriwether ACG Quickstrike adds red laces and black accents to approximate the OG Air Magma look, a white midsole the key difference in colorblocking. This quarter-century or so retrospective on Nike Boots offers the kind of quality that’ll have you looking forward to the next generation will bring. Check them out up close after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for release info. via Ty//Soleroom

Nike ACG heads have been getting pretty lucky as of late, with some killer models showing up in 2011. Air Max showed up in ACG with the Nike ACG Air Max Conquer and new joints like the Nike ACG Zoom Meriwether even got a bit of quickstrike treatment. One of the more unassuming models to show up was the Nike ACG Manoa, with a smooth set of lines and a bit of a molded look. We’ve just got word of a new colorway showing up for this Swoosh boot, with an almost eggplant tone up top that echoes the classic Goadome look from the ACG repertoire. Follow us after the jump to get a better feel for this new colorway and grab a pair for yourself now from Oneness.

Until pretty recently, the selection of colors and materials in heavy duty boots has been lacking outside of the always interesting trail shoe market. But designs like workboots, duckboots and even combat boots have all seen their classic designs embraced and enhanced by sneaker manufacturers who have taken a jeet kun do approach, taking what works for their hybrids and enhancing them with new approaches. The Nike SFB iD takes that aesthetic appeal that Nike Sportswear has mastered of late and applies it to the Swoosh’s world-beating service boot, and now you can even craft the Special Field Boot to your exact specifications on NIKEiD. Sneaker News gave you a glimpse at the possibilities before the preview launched in mid-January, and with the launch on January 31st (along with the Air Max+ 2009 and a couple Zoom KD IV variations), you’ll be able to create your own pair like the new samples you’ll see after the jump below.

With all the dope Lava Dunk ACG colorways we saw over the past couple months, Nike ACG had their bases covered, but it’s still nice to get a bit of that OG flavor back in the mix. The Nike Air Lava Dome reminds us of a time before the All Conditions Gear division was even established, but these two new colorways are distinct products of the second decade of the 21st century. These new Lava Domes come with the same slightly-yellowed VNTG-style soles that came on the only two colorways released in 2011, and these two new colorups in black/purple or earthy tones plus blue and orange hits are the kind of thing we just haven’t seen applied to this silhouette as of yet. Nike SB obviously gets a lot of play around here, and even the extended action sports lineup from Nike 6.0 has been picking up steam, but it’s not too often that we hear from the snowboarding division of the Swoosh lineup. You’ll recall that around this time last year when Skateboard (Snowboard?) P was trying to make it happen in Paris, so is there a street level future in line for these bulky boots? If so Nike’s coming with a nice campaign to back it up, coming with this surreal promo shoot with team rider Nicolas Müller (and they’ve already set the bar pretty high with vids like this Danny Kass joint from a few years back). Follow us after the jump for a look at this piece and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Nike All Conditions Gear just knows that just because the spring fashion season begins in January doesn’t mean you won’t need rugged boots as the weather starts to get warmer. The Nike ACG Lava Dunk High is a model that you can use to add a strong side to your wardrobe, though this suede construction is probably best reserved for days and conditions other than the sloppiest. This new black pair adds red laces to match the two-toned setup on olive and beige pairs we showed you back in early December, and all of them should be available at US Nike Sportswear shops by the end of this month. Click through to see more of the black pair, let us know which one of the three is your favorite after going back to see the others and stick with Sneaker News for word on their US release date. via atmos
