You have to wonder whether or not the Nike Flyknit Air Max will end up as a yearly model in the Swoosh rotation. It seems like the silhouette would need to be upgraded on a yearly basis to keep it inline with the current Air Max offerings, but that’s not necessarily the case seeing as how the whole piece that it borrows from that line, the full bubble on bottom, has remained the same for the past couple of entries. It took quite a while for the Nike Roshe Run to ever end up in an all-black colorway. It’s not quite there yet, but the relative Nike Flyknit Roshe Run model has made much faster progress toward that point. The closest we’ve seen so far is this one, which runs with the black Flyknit on its top half while utilizing midnight fog for the Natural Motion kit on bottom. Of course if dark Roshes aren’t your thing, there are plenty of colorful pairs on the way for this particular build. This new pair of Nike Free Flyknit Chukkas is every bit as flashy as you’d expect from a design that uses colors like grand purple and firberry. Grounding the sneakers a bit is the heavy use of black Flyknit, which is spun into the upper to counteract the aforementioned bright selections (Not to mention the big black Swoosh that’s been planted across the side of the silhouette). Like the Nike Lunar Flyknit Chukka before it, the Nike Free Flyknit Chukka seems for some reason to be averse to donning anything but the white kit on bottom. Fortunately, the coloring up top on this new pair is plenty entertaining with its cinnamon brown base and the university blue Swoosh that pops off the side. As is usually the case, Europe has them first. You could head over to Titolo if you want to lock your pair down now or you could wait with us for the eventual US arrival.
