Will the ‘ParaNorman’ theme stick around in the custom world for as long as recent hits like the ‘Galaxy’ and the ‘South Beach’ did? This new creation from the likes of Gourmet Kickz points to “yes”. The base sneaker is the Nike Total Air Foamposite Max, which gets upgraded with an insane level of glow in the dark detailing (even hitting on the air bag on bottom). The Nike Air Force Max is poised to make some serious impact in 2013 between the ‘All Star’ colorway and the various general release pairs trickling out. This one fits into that second category, sporting a sort of ‘Chicago’ colorway up top between the white, red, and black sections. Then again, maybe ‘Houston’ is a more apt connection given the four years that Barkley spent with the Rockets at the tail end of his career. Hit the jump with us for extra angles on this Nike Air Force Max pair and if you like what you see, buy them now from the folks at Finishline.

With all the Air Force 1 variations on feet and in stores these days, let’s not lose sight of the fact that the Force series it spawned is every bit as connected as something like a Lunar Force 1. A spiritual successor to the AF1 just like the Air Force 180 it succeeded in the early ’90s, the Nike Air Force Max returns for 2013 in the subdued OG colorway that puts it in line with a trend toward simple elegance that’s been in effect for a few years. Another long-lost Charles Barkley go-to look resurfaces at select Nike Sportswear retailers as part of the spring 2013 catalog, and they’ve shown up a bit earlier than expected at Rock City Kicks.

Have a closer look below, let us know where these rank among the handful of Air Force 180 Highs we’ve seen and stick with Sneaker News for release info.

Fireberry dawns on us once again – this time on a revamped classic model called the Nike Mach Force Mid; it’s got all the bells and whistles of an early-90′s basketball shoe, from the bold FORCE label on the tongue to the high angle cut, but there’s still some new-age flavor like the ribbed midsole indents, the hint of shine at the toe-bumper, and the textured basketball below the FORCE logo. Foot Locker has these in stock as an exclusive, so check out the images below and head over to one of their retail locations to check ‘em out in person.
