Many of the Nike Free Run+ 2 colorways we’ve seen of late have opted to add a contrasting color to the underlying ‘ligaments’. Here’s a case where it’s done on a tonal backing, but because this WMNS Free Run 2 EXT has black nubuck as its top layer, you get an appreciation for the depth created by these relative contrasts. Click through to see more of the Total Crimson/Bright Mango interplay and grab yours at Nike Sportswear retailers like Concepts.

While the EXT edition is distinct with its casually-oriented suede and textile builds, the Nike Free 5.0+ Breathe is less obviously different than the ‘standard’ 5.0s. This suffix, originally presented by a Japanese retailer as ‘Breeze’, suggests great ventilation, a key feature for summertime sneakers. This ladies colorway also stands out from earlier styles by its use of a soft gradient on the forefoot, an effect that serves to bring this tonal green and white palette together quite nicely. Check them out in more detail after the jump, then grab a pair at shops like Concepts.

Nike Georgetown is getting outfitted with a crazy trio of WMNS exclusives, including the Nike Roshe Run Woven, Nike Free 5.0, and the Nike Studio Wrap. The three were produced in celebration of Sunday’s Nike Women Half Marathon in Washington, DC. Pairs from the group are marked with the date that the run will go down on, as well as a couple quick slogans that point to the epic DC event. Stay with us after the jump for a complete look at the Nike Georgetown “We Run DC” trio, which includes one of the craziest Nike Roshe Run releases we’ve ever seen, and watch for them now at Nike Georgetown exclusively (Except for the Nike Free 5.0 style, which can be found at select other doors).

The brand new Nike Free Alt Closure Run, pictured above, is one of those sneakers that has a clear predecessor that doesn’t get called out in the shoe name. That predecessor is the Nike Kukini Free, a remixed version of the Kukini silhouette that went with the oh-so-common route of slapping a Nike Free kit on the bottom. The Nike Free Alt Closure Run has a similar set up for both the upper, which uses that translucent webbed look, and the bottom, which uses a Nike Free 4.0 sole. See the new design in full detail right after the jump and grab the Nike Free Alt Closure Run now from the team at Norse Store.

It’s been nearly four months since the first trio of Nike Free Sock Racers were previewed. We’re still awaiting their arrival, but here’s another trio with even more exuberance for your summertime off-road/in-water adventures. Three new Free Sock Racer colorways opt for more contrast and eschew the Safari print that stood out on the first three, though these will stand out more in crowds thanks to bold blue, yellow and pink tones. Have a closer look below, let us know how these compare (both to the first set and each other) and stick with Sneaker News for US release info.

The marvel of endurance that is the Nike Free Run+ 2 is one of the greatest beneficiaries of Nike Sportswear’s casual EXT treatment. This latest Free Run 2 EXT is a different interpretation of the perfect-for-summer porous mesh introduced earlier this month on the Desert Sand and Electric Orange edition. These switch up the blocking template ever so slightly, but still rely on that supremely wearable neutral upper/vibrant sole mix that’s worked so well for so many NSW styles of late. Check them out up close after the jump, then grab yours from Premier.
