Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke by Eric Villatoro

The latest Air Force 1 Bespoke to come out of Nike Sportswear’s 21 Mercer space in New York City is this pair of AF1 Low’s designed by Eric Villatoro who chose to use a number of exotic materials and colors. Villatoro used a Purple nubuck on the quarter and heel of the shoe with the front of the shoe and toebox using a twister croc leather, also in Purple. For the Swoosh and heel of the shoe Eric decided to go with Nike’s iconic Safari print and he completed the shoe by giving it an Infared contrast stitch on the upper and midsole.

Nike Air Force 1 Low Bespoke by Montonari Mikiya

The latest Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke is so shiny and slick looking, people will either think they’re wet or covered in lacquer. Designed by Montonari Mikiya, these Bespokes use a black mix of shiny croc leather, patent leather, plus nubuck on the tongue and a Loopwheeler fleece lining. The rear croc sections make for a sort of friendly fight with the clashing cuts through cement grey elephant print Swooshes. Add a bright yellow MX sole and matching laces and these cannot be ignored. Make your own statement with an appointment at 21 Mercer Street’s Bespoke lab.

Nike Air Max 1 – Available @ Nike iD

The beet red Nike Air Max 1 is a good example of a shoe so perfect, it’s cruel that Nike only released it for ‘women’ (read:smaller size run). If you can relate to your author’s pain, Nike iD might have the remedy. Not only is the ‘Eighty-Seven’ up and ready to be customized, but you can put pretty much whatever coloured speckles on whatever coloured base on whichever parts of the shoe you want! Nike Harajuku Flagship Store Open in Tokyo, Japan

Nike Sportswear’s flagship store in New York opened just over a year ago. This project representing both the brand reorganization/renaming (remember ‘Nike Sport Culture’?) and the store itself have done phenomenally well, especially given the current economic climate.

Rather than just resting on their success, the Swoosh would rather, say, head ‘out’ for a treadmill run accompanied by a floor-to-ceiling video display. Clever stuff like this ‘Runner’s Studio’ is what makes Nike’s new store in the Harajuku section of Tokyo immediately indispensable.

The hardwood floors are painted with metallic silver ‘lanes’ so you can run through the store if that’s more your style. You can customize your own kicks in the Nike iD Studio, which is emphasized by a floating display of all-white samples that would have any fan of the Try-Ons series sweeping from joy and envy. Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke ‘Space Jam’ by Bun B

The immortal ‘Space Jam’ Air Jordan XI (11) Retro will hit retailers next month, and even though he could probably get a pair early, Houston’s finest, Bun B drafted up a pair of insane Nike Air Force 1 Bespokes with a similar makeup. The black upper is patent leather on the toe and a rugged ballistic nylon on the mid and rear. All of that rests on a white midsole and icey translucent outsole, just like the Jays. Nike Air Max 90 iD – Cracked Leather (Hufquake) Options

‘Hufquake’, or ’Craked Leather’ as Nike officially named it, has popped up on several other sneakers since word spread about the release of an updated verson of the shoe that made it popular. Since Huf’s Nike Air Max 90 Current Huarache was revealed, we’ve seen an Air Flight Concord and the Mighty Crown Dynasty High prominently featuring cracked leather. Those Concords frankly already looked a little like someone designed them on Nike iD, so we’re excited to see the desert floor-like pattern popping up there for Air Max 90s. Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke by Mike Capanni

Aside from the luxurious premium materials, one of the key benefits of Bespoke Nike Air Force 1s is the ability to arrange the colours any way you choose. We’ve seen a ton of both Elephant and Safari prints rolling out of the 21 Mercer St. flagship store, but this might be the craziest thing to leave Nike Sportswear yet. What we’re dealing with here is three distinct Safari prints: grey/grey, grey/yellow and grey/red. The yellow and red sections are buffered by the all grey part, all of which rides a neon yellow MX sole.
