Nike LeBron 9 iD – New Options Sneak Peek

Just a few days ago, Nike iD teased us with some new customizable options for the Nike LeBron 9, hinting at a possible Foamposite-like material on the upper. Here we have a first sneak peek at what might be in store for the Nike LeBron 9 iD, and it’s clear that there is in fact Foamposite or a similar material in place of the lightweight weave panel on the upper. Of course, this isn’t the first time Foamposite was used on a LeBron – that wonderful distinction goes to the Nike Zoom LeBron IV. Listen up, LeBron lovers! Nike’s been relatively quiet on the Valentine’s Day-themed sneaker front this year, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be gifted a tasty treat. Coming up on V-Day (the same day as the Air Jordan 2012 iD launch), NIKEiD will offer a series of new options on the Nike LeBron 9 Limited iD; what exactly will that mean? Right off the bat, the ‘Limited’ tag represents the potential for both a premium construction and small quantities available, but we’re all left wondering what kinds of things to expect next week. Should we read into the wavy texture on King James’ crown logo, or perhaps the Dunkman-esque palette on the graphic they tweeted? Air Jordan 2012 iD

Not only can you ‘Choose Your Flight’ with the Air Jordan 2012, but following up on last year’s unprecedented launch of the AJ flagship on NIKEiD, the current model will also offer an array of online customization options. The Air Jordan 2012 iD will debut on February 14th alongside the A, E and Q editions at select JB retailers, allowing for more control if you want to get a bit more expressive than the AJ2012′s relatively subdued designs. When you get a sense for how much this shoe and its variations allow for a true custom fit, one can’t help but wonder what the future will hold for this pioneering series that never fails to surprise the industry with groundbreaking designs and technical achievements. We already have an incredible range of options at our fingertips, and you can see a few of the possible combinations after the jump below, including the true ‘bred’ colorway for which Jordanheads have been clamoring for a while now.

Air Jordan 2012 – Release Date

Upon revealing the Air Jordan 2012 Deluxe ‘YOTD’ release date earlier today, we noted that we won’t be getting a sequel to the Chinese New Year-themed AJ2011 Q Flight because it’s built right in to the multiple ‘Flight’ package. But that doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to select the flight of your choosing this year, because in addition to the Deluxe model, Tinker Hatfield and Tom Luedecke also designed their modular system to be broken into its individual components. The Air Jordan 2012 A comes with a sleeker low-cut sleeve and packs the ‘Fly Over’ midsole with Zoom Air cushioning in the forefoot plus encapsulated Air in the heels. That one’s coming up in white/black, while the also-low-cut Air Jordan 2012 Q, whose Zoom-heeled ‘Fly Around’ cushioning is available with Old Royal or Varsity Red booties and laces. The same color options are also up for grabs with the higher cut Air Jordan 2012 E, the model offering a full-length encapsulated Air cushion to help you ‘Fly Through’ your opponents. Jordan Brand will drop all five of the A, E and Q offerings on Saturday, February 25th, so with all the options available, which will you choose?

Nike Zoom Hyperenforcer iD Samples

Last week was an absolutely massive one for NIKEiD, as the Swoosh’s online customization service launched new models including the Zoom KD IV (plus its YOTD template), Special Field Boot and the return of the Air Max+ 2009, followed a day later by Elephant print options for the latest Air Force 1 iD limited engagement. It was a big couple of days, but arguably none of those shoes came with more options than the Nike Zoom Hyperenforcer iD that also launched on January 31st. These offer a variety of colors in relatively simple blocking patterns, but the big draw is the unprecedented option to choose between Zoom and Max Air cushioning in the heel. Nike Basketball tends to give models like these unique names, but in a year when we’ve seen the Zoom Kobe VII and Air Jordan 2012 take swappable cushioning units to new heights, it feels right to have a silhouette that you can build from the ground up.
