Kobe Bryant winning a 6th NBA Title in 2013 would be the perfect way to cap off the “Year of the Snake” for the Black Mamba don’t you think? The Lakers are barely in the Playoffs and although he and the two superstar teammates have yet to put together the right winning formula, the Lakers will definitely put up a fight – one that no opponent wants to endure. How cruel would it have been if the release of the sick pony hair animal print options was an April Fools joke? The snake isn’t the only animal being brought in by the NIKE iD folk this year as far as the Nike Air Force 1 is concerned. It looks like April 2013 will have the Nike Air Force 1 iD available with some pony hair upgrades with cheetah, tiger, and other wildlife-inspired graphics for both the Nike Air Force 1 Low and Nike Air Force 1 High. Will the Nike Air Force 1 continue to ride the current animal print wave with even more beastly prints in the future? Stay tuned for the answer to that, continue below for a full preview, and let us know if you’re cranking out a cheetah or other animal print-inspired Nike Air Force 1 iD in April 2013 as these new options are already available at select overseas locations like Nike Fukuoka.

The Nike Blazer Mid (or High, as this silo was previously labeled) made only one appearance on NIKEiD between the 2010 World Cup festivities and spring 2013. Last summer’s printed uppers welcomed the original Nike Basketball shoe into the modern climate of patterned uppers, a theme that carries over into the selections available right now. These new Blazer Mid iDs offer snakeskin scales on the Swooshes of otherwise monotone suede uppers. These give you the choice of adding the AB-style medial zipper, which strips out the medial Swooshes and reflects the Blazer Low iD’s potential for the ‘naked’ perfed Swoosh outline instead of any texture. Check out all the different arrangements and let us know if you come up with a great design of your own.

If you don’t feel like paying resell prices for the Nike LeBron X “Cork”, you could always take your money over to 21 Mercer and make yourself a one-of-a-kind homage via the Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke for about the same price. This new design isn’t one of those, but it is one that utilizes the cork approach, a detail that we’d imagine is in higher demand than ever thanks to LeBron’s recent lifestyle look. Along with the cork sections the sneaker sports a crazy floral upper as borrowed from the studio’s available Liberty fabrics. Get a better look at the Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke from R&J after the jump and tell us in the comments if you approve.
