The ‘Chlorophyll’ colorway of the original Nike Air Trainer 1 is one that is almost always welcomed by sneakerheads when ported onto other models. This time around we see it make the jump to the Nike Air Classic BW, with the green hits remaining pretty minimal showing up on the Air Max detailing on the heel and outsole. Heck even without the rich background of the colorway, this pair could stand on its own as a pretty versatile model thanks to the grey’d out upper. Nike Air Force 1 Low – Storm Blue – Vivid Orange – Denim

Following the full on denim look for the Nike Air Force 1 Low we saw last year, a more trimmed back approach seems to be in order for 2012. You’ll recall the full preview we dropped on you a few months back, a few from which are starting to make their way into retailers as of now. First it was the salmon toned version, and now this Mets looking colorway is the latest to appear. Storm blue on the upper pairs with vivid orange on the swoosh, with the faded denim twiill hits mixing into the paneling to bring on the lifestyle look. Nike MayFly PRM QS – Black – Tan

Nike Sportswear has displayed an uncanny ability to turn the most technical and unflattering of shoes into perfect lifestyle shoes. Take for example the Nike MayFly – a track and field shoe that was stripped down to skin (Tyvek material, actually) only to give runners an advantage. Of course, this new Premium offering is meant more for the weekend, because it’s got a simple Black/Tan colorway constructed in suede uppers and leather insoles. Nike Air Foamposite One – Electrolime – Black – Another Look

With all the commotion about the ‘Galaxy’ colorway slated to release on the eve of NBA All-Star 2012, be careful not to overlook the Nike Air Foamposite One release a short while later that we’ve been watching for a good while now. The ’Electrolime’ Air Foamposite One gets back to this model’s uniformly colored heritage with a new shade so vibrant that these have managed to escape the Iowa/Wu-Tang/Pittsburg/LIVESTRONG typecasting that seems to all too often pidgeonhole black and yellow designs. These also feature just a hint of navy blue on the ’1c’ logos and insoles, perhaps the tiniest reference to University of Michigan star Chris Webber who wound up wearing his college colors again in Golden State where he was traded for Penny Hardaway on Draft Day 1993. You think Kanye West was the first pop-star to get his own Nike shoe? Well, technically speaking, he was the first to have a pair of Nikes bearing his name, but that trend traces back to the turn of the decade into the 1980′s. Nike Delta Force High AC Premium – Spring 2012 Colorways

The Air Force 1 will forever be a key component of the Nike Sportswear lineup, and for that we’re truly glad. But some of the successors of this three-decade-dominator haven’t been as lucky, with models like its immediate sequel and a few others coming in and out of the ranks of the regularly released. Take for example the Delta Force, once a mainstay of both the pre-NSW Sport Culture lineup as well as Nike SB’s mid-’00s climb, now has been relegated to the sidelines as we see more esoteric retros and newfangled hybrid designs. The Nike Delta Force High AC is itself a combination of the classic silhouette with a casually-oriented vulcanized sole, these two new releases echoing the AF1′s reliance upon white and black early in 2012. Together they’re very much like a yin-yang, but will you be buying both as these arrive at NSW stores like Titolo?

Nike Air Max 90 – White – Dark Shadow – Red

What would happen if you took the Nike Air Max 90‘s best known colorway and toned down the intensity on the black and red sections? The first answer that comes to mind upon seeing this new pair is “Another beautiful AM90″, but let’s be more specific about what they’re bringing to the table. This is one of many Ninetys this spring done up with the beloved ‘Infrared’ OG blocking pattern, and just like the other releases that’re more widely available, these opt for a shift on the mudguard rather than the OG black (Dark Shadow grey, in this case). This in combination with a more conventional red than the Infra- variety gives these a fresh but familiar feel, but the only way you’ll ever have them in your hands them is to get in touch with JD Sports.
