Nike Air Maestro Flight Soar White Black

Scottie Pippen’s Nike Air Maestro All-Star might be one of the most daring Nike Basketball sneakers of the decade, owning that sick tonal-red ‘look at me!’ colorway in the high-top profile (and yes, someone actually wore them last week and was featured on Monday’s ‘Best of WDYWT’). A similar ‘All-Star’ pair in the Maestro Flight already released, but if you’re more akin to blue than you are to red, then this new Soar Blue colorway should be right up your alley. Priced at just $90, these are great pick-ups for any rotation, so check out the images below and cop a pair right now from Premier or on eBay.

Nike Toki VNTG Sail

All of a sudden it isn’t so easy being a lifestyle sneaker in the Swoosh lineup, with tons of strong silhouettes vying to fill that role (the Nike Gyle Mid the the Roshe Run to name a few). And while those newcomers have a reasonable shot at the throne there will always be a place in our rotation for the Nike Toki, that clean chukka styled sneaker that does so much with so little. This time around the model gets the VNTG treatment, with the pearly white midsole being dirtied up just a bit with some faux-distressing to bring them to an off white shade that almost matches with the sail color of the upper. Celebrity Feet: Kanye West Nike Air Flight 89

Rappers and celebs like to boast about how they “never wear the same outfit twice”. That’s not the case for fashion taste-maker Kanye West, who clearly knows what he likes, and wears what he likes. He was spotted yet again with the Air Flight ’89s that he wore during the high-profile Game 3 between the Miami Heat and New York Knicks, and does so again during a recent outing in London with Kim Kardashian. If you look back on Kanye’s Celebrity Feet sightings, you’ll probably recognize a pattern – Air Jordan VI, Timberlands, Yeezy 2s, and now the True Blue ’89′s. More on Kanye’s Air Flight ’89s after the jump, so take a look and let us know where the Flight ’89 ranks among your all-time favorites! Photos: zimbio

Nike Air Trainer 1 Safari Detailed Images

It’s hard to predict the results when two worlds collide. We’ve seen Nike put out some interesting hybrids and combinations that seem to make sense in theory or on paper, but none has made more sense than the Nike Air Trainer 1 ‘Safari’, slated to release at select Nike Sportswear retailers next month. It combines two of Nike’s most time-honored classics born in what might be one of the greatest years of Nike (1987), using the Air Trainer 1 as the body and the Air Safari as the flair with the signature colorway blocked perfectly on the upper. The Air Trainer 1 ‘Safari’ has been one of the most trending units here on Sneaker News and should be a hit with fans of old-school Nike – but how will it fare with the newer crowd that has experienced far more exposure to Nike Basketball, Jordans, and Foamposites? Nike Air Force 180 Olympic

The Dream Team will celebrate 20 years this Fall 2012 season, so get ready for Nike’s tribute to the most treasured U.S. Olympic team of all-time! With a concentration on footwear, Nike Sportswear will bring back a set of Olympic-inspired sneakers that were worn during the Games, like the Air Force 180 worn by Sir Charles Barkley. These have been re-issued a few times before (as well in the Auto Force 180 form in 2009), but it’s time for a fresh new stock because new pairs are dwindling by the number. You won’t have to wait too long though, because European retailers are reporting stock to arrive on July 2nd, and you can expect a similar ETA for U.S. stocklists (but we’ll keep you updated on a firm release when it becomes available). With so many Olympic-themed kicks on the way, where does this Air Force 180 classic rank on your list of must-haves for the season? Photos: overkillshop

Nike Air Safari VNTG Fall 2012

Tinker Hatfield designed the Air Safari to have that lifestyle duality, and the upcoming VNTG Pack proves that 25 years later, that notion still stays strong. Here’s a complete look at four upcoming colorways of the Nike Air Safari VNTG; introducing a tasteful palette of colors like Work Blue and Thunder Blue while impeccably combining tones like Bamboo and Team Red, the NSW team behind the Safari and this Pack in particular deserves some credit for reinvigorating the sneaker while keeping the ’87 heritage at heart. A look at the four upcoming releases is just ahead, so take a look and stay tuned for more updates on this Lifestyle-friendly set of releases. Photos: overkillshop

Nike Cortez 40/40 Showcase

Anyone who’s ever dusted their shoulders off knows that ESPN’s on the screen at the 40/40 Club, but on the other side of the world, you can expect to see classic runners on display.  No, Jay-Z didn’t switch themes for a new nightclub in Asia.  Rather, it’s Nike Sportswear who comes through with the ‘Cortez 40/40′ campaign, a massive Nike Cortez 40th anniversary celebration including eight artists each from five different SE Asian nations.  The Thai editions included designs from indie record label Smallroom, streetwear magazine Cheeze Looker, fashion label Painkiller, jewelry-makers Missile, clothing designers Him & Her, party promoter CMYK, illustrator Pomme Chan and photographer Chardchakaj Waikawee of ‘Around Me’ YouTube fame.  You can see the entire collection after the jump below; let us know which is your favorite and stay tuned for the designs from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines.  via ST

Nike Air Trainer 1 Safari New Images

What happens when you take one of 1987′s standouts, apply almost the exact same motif that made another of that year’s graduating class an instant classic and release them on the twenty-fifth anniversary?  One answer is “an instant sell-out”, and another is this new Nike Air Trainer 1 done up to look like the original Air Safari.  Sneaker News scooped you this morning on a mid-June Euro drop, and they’ve already started arriving at select Asian retailers.  This ‘Safari Pack’ mashup is sure to move quickly, so keep an eye on the ‘Bay for early pairs making their way across the Pacific and stick with Sneaker News for info on the US release coming soon.  via ST
