Thanks to the miracles of modern technology, you won’t have to be in line to get your Inlines. Dubbed ‘Inline’ as one of the first Lakers-coloured Nike Zoom Kobe Vs to be leaked in photos, these ZKVs are truly best suited for LA’s home-alternate white jerseys. They’re mostly white, with black and purple accents that tie the whole shoe together with a two-toned splatter pattern on the rear midsole. Nike’s style code also mentions the ‘Del Sol’ shade of yellow that appears on a bunch of Kobe sneakers, but it’s probably hidden on the inside or outsoles. Sneakerhead traditionalists frequently bemoan the rise of hybridization/modular design. They probably don’t realize that most sneakers are similar because of the progression of development, but then again, some combos just weren’t meant to be. Take for example, the Nike Vandals and Air Max 90s. Seperately, each has a rabid following and sells a ton to ‘regular’ shoppers. Tell a sneakerhead they’re being mashed together, and there’s sure to be tears and gnashing of teeth.

Well, lighten up, guys. The Nike V-Light is a lesson for you to avoid making yourself sad with your keen observation skills. Yes, this shoe resembles both the Vandal and AM90 in some ways. They also have a Swoosh on the side just like the Air Jordan 1. Nike’s Think Pink pack got a welcome addition last year with a Kay Yow Cancer Fund-benefitting Zoom Kobe IV (4). It was a popular look for WNBA stars like Becky Hammon, so we expect more to come. This new Nike Zoom Kobe V, however, is just standard pink-and-shrink, except that it’s labeled as a ‘Boys’ release. Call it Boys, kids, GS, whatever, the fact remains that some little girl out there is going to absolutely love you for copping these for her, especially if there’s anything left of her rec league schedule. Then again, these are boys sizes, so they’re 1.5 bigger and NikeStore has up to 7, so ladies 8.5 and below can have at em, and at quite a bargain!

Nike Trainer SC 2010 – LaDainian Tomlinson PE

Free agency means an athlete often works for his shoe company longer than his teams. LaDanian Tomlinson will almost definitely go into Canton as a Charger, but he never made it to the Super Bowl with the Bolts and will probably go elsewhere this offseason. Assuming he can salvage his career, that just means the colours on his Nikes will change, so this Trainer SC 2010 in powder blue and gold is a bittersweet note to go out on. As a ninth grader in need of a new NFL team with the 49ers dynasty crumbling, yours truly gravitated toward the electric 1998 Minneosta Vikings. So as a Vikes fan, I’ve been prepared for last minute meltdowns since the jump, and it’s almost comforting to to see it happen every 12 years like the Chinese zodiac of heartbreaking defeats.

The Nike Air Morizaba ACG represents All Conditions Gear’s ultimate in performance trail running.
