Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle Collection 2009 – Release Reminder

It’s an annual tradition, and with good reason. The Nike Doernbecher Freestyle Foundation Auction was a huge success in 2009, raking in some well-deserved cash for the Oregon-based children’s hospital. This year’s Doernbecher Freestyle consisted of some crazy stuff like an ‘Air-plane Yeezy’, but centered around six special designs: Shox NZ by Molly Martin, Air Max Zenyth by Anna Finley, Air Force 1 Low by Bradley Bowlby, Skinny Dunk High by Makayla Hansen, P-Rod III by Collin Callsen and Air Jordan VI (6) by Jordan Dark. All six will be available at Nike Sportswear retailers including the 21 Mercer St. flagship tomorrow, Saturday, November 14th.

Nike SB Zoom P-Rod III – Takashi 2 Inspired – Spring 2010

If you were thinking these should be dubbed ‘Takashi 3′, we totally understand where you were going with that. While this would be the third ‘Takashi’-nicknamed Nike SBs, the upcoming P-Rod III picured above looks pretty much exactly like the Takashi 2 SB Dunk Low, and since the ‘2′ came from the gold/silver variation, now you can get a good sense of why these will be be refered to in parlance as ‘the Takashi 2 P-Rod 3s’. These don’t keep any of the tonal brown laser-etched leather from the famous aforementioned Dunk (though a well used ollie area will reveal a brownish ‘middle’ in the suede), instead relying on an entirely nubuck upper. Nike SB – November 2009 Releases

Nike SB has released a few of their inline offerings for the month of November at select Nike SB retailers, included in this month’s releases are new colorways of the Nike SB Zoom P.Rod III, Stefan Janoski, Bruin, and Classic High. The new colorway of the Nike SB Zoom P.Rod III is the Aquamarine colorway that we saw an early preview of back at the beginning of September. This month’s new Stefan Janoski colorway might see Jay-Z in it as it comes in all Black. The Bruin that is a part of this collection comes in a clean and skateable colorway of Dark Gray and White. And last but not least the Nike SB Classic High, which comes in a Black, White, and Red colorway. All 4 of these new Nike SB November 2009 releases are available now at CCS.

Nike SB – Summer 2010 Collection – Part 2

Last week, we brought you a preview of some upcoming Dunk SB’s that will be hitting retailers next summer, and now, we turn our attention to the rest of the collection. There are some new additions to the family, but for the most part, we will be seeing new colorways of some familiar favorites. On the new tip, the Summer 2010 line-up will feature some new colorways of the P-Rod III, as well as the introduction of the P-Rod 2.5 and the Omar Salazar pro model. Another newer SB model, the Stefan Janoski will be back in three new colorways, including a super-crisp White perf edition.

Joining the new kicks will be a healthy smattering of go-to SB models. The Blazer SB and Classic SB are both represented with several new colorways in both High and Low cuts. Another classic, the Bruin SB will be hitting shelves in new Black/Silver and Orange/Black versions and last but not least, a Zoom Tre A.D. dipped in a rich shade of Red with Black accents. You know that some crazy Quickstrikes and additional models will pop up between now and summertime, but for now, you can get a look at the foundation of the Nike SB Summer 2010 collection. Nike SB October 2009 Sneaker Releases

Most of you probably already saw most of the October 2009 releases from Nike SB, but they’ve just officially announced the core line up for the month sans any quickstrikes of course. The Blazer SB seems to take on the colors of the Marge Simpson Dunk High SB from 2008, while the Dunk low is a new colorway and the Dunk Mid takes on the Jordan Pack Dunk Low colors. The rest of the line up is pretty standard with the exception of the Zoom Classic SB which ties into the Nike SB Sneaker and Apparel Horror Eyes Pack. 2009 Nike Doernbecher Freestyle VI – Wall Art

The live auction for this year’s Doernbecher Freestyle Collection took place this past Saturday, raising $189,800 for the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. High bids for uniquely designed sneakers, potentially saving some lives, wasn’t the only thing causing a stir. The guys from SOLE helped out making wall pieces for the auction, which took place at Weiden + Kennedy in Oregon. The abstract works were composed of materials from each respective shoe in this year’s collection. Interesting to see how each piece takes individual form based on the distinct shapes and accents from the different shoe styles. Seeing these mounted on the wall only adds more energy evoked from the specially made creations initiated from this yearly event. via SC.

Nike SB Zoom P-Rod III – Midnight Fog – Sport Red

The new slimmed-down P-Rod III model is getting good reviews after dropping in the initial Black and White colorways, as well as this month’s Sport Red quickstrike. We’ve shown you a few sneak peeks at some upcoming colorways, and now the latest version is starting to hit retailers. This P-Rod III uses a Midnight Fog suede upper with section of leather on the toe box. Accents are provided by multiple splashes of Sport Red on the Swoosh, laces, eyelet rings and heel branding, as well as an Off-White Tongue, White midsole and Black outsole. Fans of this new colorway of the P-Rod III can find a pair in stock now at Flatspot.
