Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 7 High – Armory Navy – Black – White

Just as is the case with the lowtop form, the Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 7 High\ is expanding its graphic capacity by lifting the only-for-Premiums restriction on the P-Rod 7′s signature zebra striping. As with the lows, this Armory Navy and black hightop keeps the stripes at the heel, whereas presumably the Premiums will continue to cover the overlay sections with this look. This colorway would be an interesting choice either way, as the interplay of dark blue and black is mediated quite nicely by both the amount and placement of white accents. Have a closer look after the jump, then find yours in stock at SB shops like Urban Industry.

The Nike SB P-Rod 7 High has yet to hit retail shelves, but we’ve seen the success of the original lowtop translated perfectly onto an extended upper for that added ankle support. While we’ve seen previews of Paul’s seventh signature in high-top form in a dark palette, they all feature an interesting Premium zebra print. Now we see the Nike SB Paul Rodriquez 7 High in a recurring Nike SB ‘Pink Foil’ look that shells out an all black upper with a white lunarlon midsole while accents pink hit the inner lining and sole. Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 7 – Medium Grey – Black – Pink Foil

As we saw in preview images last month, the Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 7 is subtly shifting its alignment with the Premium suffix.  When P-Rod 7s first hit, the Premiums were easy enough to spot at first glance, because it was these pairs that featured a tonal zebra stripe pattern at the toe and heel.  That might still be true, but what we’re seeing here today is proof that the general releases are also picking up just a bit of the animal action.  This new one in grey and black with pink pops uses the striped pattern just at the heel, which nicely sets off this low-key yet expressive palette.  Take a closer look at more photos below, then pick up a pair at SB shops like Flatspot.

The leaves will start changing colors, and along with them, what you might consider the new national pastime kicks off another season of football. Flashy teams like the Washington Redskins and USC Trojans are known for their seasonally appropriate burgundy and gold getups, and with Paul Rodriguez sharing a Southern California home with the latter, it’s only natural that the color scheme gets paired with his boundary crossing runner. The Nike Lunar Rod in Team Red reminds us of the 2009 ‘USC’ SB Blazer, serving as a thoroughly modern answer to the Blazer’s vintage styling. It’s up for grabs now at select SB retailers, so take a closer look below, then grab yours from shops like Premier.

It’s easy to spot the Nike SB P-Rod 7 Premium colorways as opposed to general releases: just look for the tonal tiger stripes.  Paul Rodriguez’ seventh Nike Skateboarding signature model has the animal motif at the heart of its PRM drops, as in the case of this Armory Slate, black and white makeup.  These have tonal blue striping on the overlay sections, a black base layer and white midsole for a steely high contrast look, and you can check out their good looks below before you feel the LunarLon performance in a new pair from stores like Flatspot.
