Nike SB February 2012 Footwear

For those sneakerheads who love the traditional styling of the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski series, February is shaping up to be quite a solid month.  Stef’s SB signatures set the table for the rest of the 02/12 lineup, the simple three-toned colorways utilized on the low and midtop versions exactly the kind of simple satisfaction you can expect from the rest of the set.  Additional standouts include the Ironstone Dunk Low SB with Barn red accents and the ubiquitous white Dunk midsole, SB Blazers in both High and Low and white-on-black renditions of both Eric Koston and Paul Rodriguez’ latest sig releases.  You can see each pair of these up-close by clicking on the jump below, then look for them at select Swoosh skateboarding stockists like Premier.

Sneaker News Blogs: Best of WDYWT 1/17 1/23

Did any of you catch David Diehl’s Air Jordan IV PEs that were on-field during the NFC Championship game? Those would’ve definitely cracked any Top 20 WDYWT list, but unfortunately for David, he didn’t submit them into Sneaker News Blogs: WDYWT! This week’s twenty best is still solid from front to back, with sightings of the UNDFTD x Air Jordan IV, an OG pair of the Air Jordan X Powder Blue, plenty of Nike SBs, and one OG Nike Basketball shoe that allowed you to customize your kicks via a removable mid-foot strap. Check out the entire Sneaker News Blogs: Best of WDYWT below and vote for your favorite at the very end!

Nike SB Fall/Winter 2012 Showcase @ Bright Tradeshow

2012 marks the 10th Anniversary of Nike Skateboarding as a recognized label within the Swoosh, and comparing the original series of Dunk Lows and Highs to the numerous pro models surrounding the Dunk classic proves that Nike SB has skated through quite a journey. At the Bright Trade Show in Berlin, Nike Skateboarding presented its Winter 2012 collection in three separate installments, placing an emphasis on the infusion of Lunar technology in skate shoes as well as the new upcoming models like the Nike P-Rod VI and the Nike SB Challenge Court as well as its established originals like the Dunk. As usual, Nike pulled out all the stops in creating a platform for its products, using a science laboratory as the unifying theme. Check out the complete showcase below and let us know what sticks out to you the most, and stick with Sneaker News for more Nike Skateboarding news and info. via Dunkbar.

P Rod on the #KobeSystem

“Serena Williams told me I had to check it out, so I did.”

Aziz Ansari’s hilarious take on the Nike Kobe VII System was expected, but did you know Nike SB star Paul Rodriguez has also mastered the art of absurdity? P-Rod comes through with his take on the #KobeSystem and gives a new twist to the ‘Success for the Successful’ tagline that appears on the backdrop, offering a parody of multilevel marketing gurus and their silvertongued sales pitches. Click through to see the full video, including “Truths that you didn’t even know were even true, until you realized they were more truthful than anything you’ve ever known to be true,” and stick with Sneaker News for all the Zoom Kobe VII release dates.

Nike SB P Rod V Mid Hay

Leave to Nike SB’s captain of cool Paul Rodriguez to drop a coloray so subtly tied to his So-Cal locale. The sandy look of this upcoming Nike SB P-Rod V Mid does a lot with a little, evoking the sun soaked beaches of Rodriguez’s native California through the burnt tans of the tumbled upper. We’ve already dropped a couple previews on you for the next sneaker in line for the P-Rod collection, but if this gum bottomed beauty is any indication-this iteration still has quite a bit of life left. Follow us after the jump for a more in-depth look and grab them early from Kasina.

Nike SB Paul Rodriguez VI

Paul Rodriguez will soon celebrate the sixth signature model of his line with Nike Skateboarding. First order of business – drop ‘SB’ from the Nike tag on the tongue. Aside from that interesting branding tweak, the Nike Paul Rodriguez VI features a similar construction to its predecessor, but introducing an exterior heel-counter that should remind you of the Air Huarache runners from the 90′s. The solid build should eliminate any heel slippage, while the ample vents on the upper provide enough air flow for those with sweaty feet (P-Rod has state numerous times that his feet get drenched, making breathability one of the key notes of the SB line). We’ve got a nice look at a Grey/Gold colorway below, one that is expected to drop during the Fall 2012 season. via N-SB.

Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 6

It took Gino Iannucci over a decade to earn a pro model that doesn’t even feature his name, but Paul Rodriguez took a more direct route to his Nike SB signature series.  Born one day after LeBron James and just before the start of 1985, P-Rod joined Swoosh skateboarding in 2004 and had his first sigs out on store shelves before he was legal to drink.  A little over half a decade later and the P-Rod series has evolved to an annual cycle not totally dissimilar from Nike Basketball’s ‘big three’ or the Air Max running series, his latest echoing the kind of subtle shapeshifting we’ve seen from the Zoom Kobe line in recent years.  The Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 6 is closer to the 5 than any other P-Rod is to its predecessor (save possibly the 2 and 2.5), a sleek yet formidable design that takes last year’s LunarLon-cushioned body and makes it more angular, especially thanks to the Huarache-like heel counter cutting into the side panel Swooshes.  These should hit retailers some time in the second half of next year, so click through to see five upcoming pairs and stick with Sneaker News for all the P-Rod 6 SB release dates.  via N-SB.
