Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 Low Linsanity Away PE | Release Reminder

Some say ‘Linsanity’ already saw his 15 minutes of fame. If he stays healthy and plays smart basketball (while keeping the TOs down), 15 minutes can easily be 15 years. In terms of offseason player movements, a lot of attention will be placed on the New York Knicks, who have quite a number of contracts to deal with (Jeremy Lin’s being the top priority). He could very well be a Knick for years to come, or he might pack his bags to a team either looking for true guidance in his position or a marketing magnet for the Asian fanbase. In any case, Linsanity ain’t stopping anytime soon, and you can keep the good times rolling with tomorrow’s release of the ‘Away’ colorway of his Hyperdunk 2011 Low PE. Your thoughts on where Lin will play this November? Let us know in the comments below and if you want to complete your Linsanity Hyperdunk set, cop ‘em now on from psneakers on eBay.

Nike LeBron 9 Diana Taurasi Phoenix Mercury PE

With two WNBA Championship rings, a league MVP, a Finals MVP, and two Olympic Gold medals, Diana Taurasi is already a first-ballot Basketball Hall of Fame entrant – and she’s still under 30. But is she the LeBron James of the WNBA? She’s got the size and athleticism on top of her winning pedigree, and her collection of the LeBron 9 Player Exclusives certainly gives her that distinction of being the best in her league. We recently showed you a simple White/Red USAB PE of the LeBron 9, but here’s a look at what Taurasi will wear during the 2012 WNBA Season; it’s got the simple white base with a light grey upper and hints of purple and orange to match the Phoenix Mercury crest. The question is: does Taurasi deserve her own Nike signature shoe? Check out additional angles of Taurasi’s kicks below and let us  know if you think it’s time Nike gives this women’s basketball superstar a shoe to call her own. Photos: lrj23

Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 Low Jeremy Lin Away PE | Release Date

With the New York Knicks about to award interim coach Mike Woodson with a multiyear contract, one can’t help but notice that ‘What if?’ would be second only to ‘Linsanity’ for 2011-12 team taglines. What if the Knicks had Woodson and Jeremy Lin from the start, and what if Amar’e had tapped into the power of ‘serenity now’? Might an improved regular season record and resultant easier path through the playoffs have culminated in Lin’s Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 Low ‘Away’ PE drop coinciding with an NYK/MIA Eastern Conference Finals matchup instead of their lopsided first round affair? It’s easy to let your imagination run wild with the kind of unpredictability we’ve already experienced, and with the summer right around the corner, Lin’s Hyperdunk 2011 Lows hitting retailers this Saturday, May 26th gives Knicks fans closure for this season of ‘could’ve beens’. Check out a set of new images after the jump and grab yours before this weekend’s rush from skit_japan on eBay.

NBA Feet: Ray Allen Air Jordan 2012 PE

Ray Allen’s Air Jordan Retro Player Exclusives prove that he’s sneaker game is untouchable (no disrespect to any of the winners in our 2012 NBA Feet Awards). During last night’s crucial Game 5 match-up between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia Sixers, Ray proved again that his PE game is one lock as he wore the Air Jordan 2012 in a sick White/Green PE, matching his Boston Home threads. Ray’s role has diminished considerably, but you can bet his clutch sharpshooting will be deciding moments for Game 6 and a possible Game 7, so check out Ray in his latest PE heat after the jump and we’ll keep you in tune with more NBA Feet action! Nike Air Flightposite Kevin Garnett The Future PE

One intense NBA rivalry that has coole down a bit over the last few years has been the feud between future Hall of Fame big men Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs and Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics. Both were tagged by Nike early on in their careers and were even featured together in one of the more memorable Nike basketball adverts ever (Kevin Garnett taking on the world in a game of pick-up ball), so while their careers were destined for similar paths of greatness, the two couldn’t have been farther from each other in every other aspect outside of the game. Duncan made his presence known with his silent charisma, while KG is noted for his notorious in-game trash-talking sparked by an intense flame fanned by the spirit of competition, and because both have stayed true to the fundamentals of the game, both continue to be forces to be reckoned with.

Perhaps this June, NBA fans could be in for one final showdown between Duncan and KG, and it’ll certainly be one to watch because KG and Duncan, quite frankly, simply don’t like being around one another. Going back to KG’s Nike’s roots – the 6’11″ forward was outfitted with the Air Flightposite line (which later became associated with his name), and today we get a look at one of the rarest PEs of the era –  a Black/White colorway with KG’s initials on the ‘tongue’ and ‘The Future’ labeled on the heel-tabs. So: Flightposite, or Total Foamposite Max? Which Foam-based shoe made for the two most dominant big-men of our generation is more treasured? Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to check out the gallery of this rare PE before you head on over to the listing from masauction on eBay.

Air Jordan X Maya Moore Championship PE

Jordan Brand quickly signed on women’s basketball phenom Maya Moore as a member of its exclusive roster, and that devotion paid off immediately as Moore won her first WNBA title with the Minnesota Lynx last Summer. Yesterday, the Lynx were presented with their Championship rings before the game, and Moore took center court with a pair of Air Jordan X ‘Championship Edition’ PEs, which appears to be February’s ‘Old Royal’ release with a honorable Jumpman seal of approval on the upper. We’ve got a full shot of the shoes as well as Maya in the kicks accepting her ring with her teammates below, so take a look and we’ll keep you in tune with other Maya Moore PEs as the WNBA season rolls along!

NBA Feet: Weekend Recap 5/18 5/20

The Second Round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs is mid-way through and we’ve already seen an impressive library of sneakers from the games biggest stars and even the lesser-known sneakerhead ballers. The two names to highlight this weekend are both from Los Angeles – Kobe Bryant and young swingman Nick Young of the Clippers; Kobe shed ‘Elite’ by wearing a White/Purple/Green PE of the Nike Zoom Kobe VII, which he followed with the Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Christmas’, but Nick might’ve done him one better by wearing the Air Foamposite One ‘Royal’ during Sunday’s match-up against the Spurs, which followed an unprecedented appearance of the Nike Air Zoom Generation in the ‘First Game’ colorway. Of course, there’s much more to see, like Eric Bledsoe’s Metallic Red Foams, LeBron’s Black/Gold Elites, and Paul George’s sick Fade Option Kobe VII iD, so check it all out below and let us know who rocked the best kicks! Air Jordan XII Richard Hamilton Rip City PE

It wouldn’t be too presumptuous to state that the Air Jordan XII is the ‘easiest’ to color-block, given the shoe has a rather simplistic build compared to other Air Jordans in the legacy. That’s probably why the Air Jordan XII has such a vast PE library, with this ‘Rip City’ joint just being another on the impressive list; this, of course, was made for one of Jordan Brand’s earliest ambassadors in Richard Hamilton, who cultivated the ‘Rip’ moniker in UConn and later won an NBA Title with the Detroit Pistons in one of the biggest ‘upsets’ in the NBA history. More of Rip’s XII PE after the jump, so take a look and check out the full listing from lo-life_rasta on eBay.
