The ‘TWENTY’ on each right shoe of a pair of Nike Air Max LeBron VIIs (&) took on a different meaning last night during King James’ only appearance in MSG this year. In honor of the New York Yankees’ twenty-seventh World Series title, LeBron wore a special edition of the AML7.
UPDATE: Lebron actually wore the Nike Air Max Lebron VII NFW “Red Carpet” colorway
Unlike last year’s cherry red ‘Big Apple’ joints, these are just the standard white/navy/gold pair with a little something extra. Metallic gold printing leaves ‘NEW YORK’ and ‘27′ inscribed in pinstriped half-baseballs on the left and right toes, respectively. No word yet on whether Nike Basektball will release these, and it could go either way given the minute differences between these and the November 25th general release. Stick with Sneaker News for the best coverage of any and all LeBron James shoes.

With Yao Ming out indefinitely following last year’s broken foot, an even larger contengency of Chinese viewers will watch the NBA rooting for New Jersey’s Yi Jianlian. The seven-foot power forward will be seen rocking this white pair of Nike Zoom Skyposites when the Nets play at their Izod Center, and the kicks are a perfect match for NJ’s home uniforms. The white upper has a coated carbon fiber look to it, while the particular shades of navy blue, red and grey are so complimentary, they could have been blocked in practically any way. Here’s hoping we see more mixes of this smooth palette, but for now, enjoy more photos after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for release updates. via Kenlu

Fresh off a thorough dismantling of fifth ranked USC, Oregon finds itself back in the BCS picture. We could be seeing alot more of the Ducks’ crazy Nike uniforms, uniforms that this year feature a sort of skeletal wing accent atop the shoulder. This same wing design surrounds the grey ‘O’ embroidered on the heel of this special pair of Nike Trainer 1s.
This pair comes in the black, green and gold combination that graces their seemingly innumerable unis and feature a macro weave pattern that we suppose you could say looks a little like carbon fiber, at leas that’s the idea. Take a look at more photos after the jump and you’ll notice that the backgrounds might be the craziest part of these photos. We see various Nike Basketball models including LeBrons and Kobes, all in the green and gold. No word yet on the release for these, but you know we’ll keep you posted. via SC

Boston Celtics’ Forward, Rasheed Wallace, has always been known to wear Nike Air Force 1 High’s, regardless of the fact that Nike has since created hundreds and hundreds of Basketball shoes since the Air Force 1 in 1985. ‘Sheed was recently spotted in an unidentifiable pair of Nike Air Force 1 High’s in all Black with an Ice (clear) colored midsole and outsole. There’s no more information at the moment as to whether or not these will ever be released but if they are expect them to be extremely limited.

It seems that breaking long runs and making opposing defenses look foolish is only one of Minnesota Vikings running back, Adrian Peterson’s passions. The NFL superstar depends a lot on his feet, so it’s only right that he take care of them in style. In addition to wearing a brand new pair of cleats for every game, sometimes even switching to a second pair mid-game, AP also likes to keep his footwear game just as tight off the field. Yesterday on the ESPN pre-game show, reporter Rachel Nichols interviewed All Day about his passion for kicks and took a quick look at some of the contents of his shoe closet. Keep reading to check out the clip and take a glimpse at a small portion of Peterson’s $200,000 and growing collection, including a ton of Air Jordans, Air Force 1’s and of course, his very own Trainer 1 PE’s.

Saturday, October 10th, 2009. The day that the House of Hoops opens at Northline Mall in Houston, TX could very well be the last, considering the ridiculous fire hazard that’s sitting in there. They really brought the heat for this opening, and while the Cherry Hill, NJ store got some love of its own with a duo of Philly Hyperizes for the occassion, when you get a look at the list of stuff they have in store, you might think somebody in Foot Locker corporate was from ‘Space City’.
The Astros and Rockets were both named for Johnson Space Center and each gets its own Hyperize, but that’s just the start. Jordan Brand offers its own duo with the bred Air Jordan Force XIII (AJF 13) and a brand new Air Jordan 1 High Strap in white with navy and red accents. Rounding out this apparently incomplete list is a huge run of reissues from earlier HoH-exclusives including, but not limited to (deep breath): Hypermax Tennis Ball Pack, Reggie Miller Air Total Max Uptempo PE, Air Penny II Retro in black and copper, Zoom Kobe IVs for Lower Merion and Rice, Zoom LeBron Soldier IIIs for Christ the King and SVSM, the Phi Slamma Jamma Big Nike High and the Hyperize Decades Pack (whew!). Check out photos of these tape-cutting kicks in just that order and if you’re in H-town, head over to Northline and check it out.

This year, Nike will be outfitting some NCAA basketball squads with some slick new Hyperize Supremes in their teams’ colors, and here we get a look at two of the first team PE colorways to surface. One pair reps for the UConn Huskies, one of the premiere college basketball programs in the nation, with a White leather upper accented by sections of Navy and Red. The other Hyperize Supreme dons the crimson and gold of the USC Trojans, who might be better known for their legendary college football prowess, but still hold their own in hoops. Both pairs feature the team’s logo on the tongue and will be released in limited quantities, making these a must have for the Huskies and Trojan faithful. If you want to show your team pride or just like the colorways, you can find both versions now at Osneaker.
