Here is a look at Puma’s Rudolf Dassler Schuhfabrik Collection. The collection is very modern and is inspired by all things sports but not only the sports themselves. The designs inspirations are said to have gone back all the way to the beginning of sports and relate to such cultural ideas like Cubism and Bauhaus, Dadaism and Jazz, and Modernism. Celebrity Feet: The Rza’s Sneaker Carpet?

Global fame can bring all kinds of riches. From special editions to collaborations and some that owe their own place in streetwear to celebrity fans, we see all kinds of celebrity sneaker trends. In this edition, peep what Method Man’s boy RZA is reppin on his ‘W’-emblazoned rug. The way the offwhite shag carpeting drapes into the tighter-cut logo in the middle is pretty amazing, but don’t get distracted and miss the man’s kicks!

Never one to fit in, you notice that RZA seems not to care about keeping up with the Wales and Cudis of the world, but there’s still a place in his sole for Air Jordans, Nike Air Max 90 Boots, Reebok ATR basketball sneakers, adidas kicks, Timberland boots and a pink and blue pair that looks to be the Puma Clyde (or Suede, perhaps). Those all might be decoys, though, since we picture him more like these photos: rocking a pair of crisp Clarks Wallabees. Puma Basket II – Soda Collection

Puma comes out with 4 new colorways for the Basket II, all of which part of a Soda series. That’s right, Soda. Some of you may be thinking “that ain’t street” or “that concept isn’t thorough enough.” But some of the best ideas are the ones that are right in front of you and tend to be repeatedly overlooked. Think about it. Despite the current trends of going green, eating organic and being healthier, most of us grew up chugging down nothing but carbonated beverages. Did you know that Coke is the second most recognized word in the planet? That has to say something about how relevant soda is to pop culture.

Thus these four Baskets. All your basic leather uppers, the 4 colorways are carefully chosen to represent some of our classic childhood favorites. Red for Coca-Cola, silver and red for Diet Coke, brown for Barq’s Root Beer and orange for Fanta orange soda. Expect these to drop soon. via Kenlu

Puma 2009 Halloween Pack

Many sneakers brands come out with Halloween based sneaker designs, but do not always deliver an original theme. Puma executes the Halloween theme very well with their 2009 Halloween pack. There are two different models available, the Basket Boo and Mr. Bones. The Basket Boo includes a ghost face detail on the heel and a small appliqué on the top lace hole that resembles some some kind of dripping slime. There is also some ghost artwork on the outsole. The Mr. Bones Mid gets its inspiration from a scarecrow and has many mismatched panels with very visible stitching work. Via Kenlu

Alexander McQueen x Puma Ribcage – Fall/Winter 2009

Having done well with an ultramodern design for the initial drop back in February, the Alexander McQueen-designed Puma Ribcage Sport is back for Fall/Winter 2009. These two new pairs are said to represent the rivalry between tigers and cranes. While these computer printed designs are quite abstract, it’s clear that the TPU ‘ribcage’ overlay is blacklight-sensitive, adding even more futuristic flair. Puma Archive Bubble Tech Pack – December 2009

We told you last month to expect more Pumas with the Full Bubble treatment and here they are. Puma’s Archive Bubble Tech Pack adds the Disc Blaze runner and Sky 2 Hi doubly-strapped hightop to the Mids we had seen. This pack’s theme is black uppers atop that huge bubble cushion in a bright accent colour that matches the scant few touches up top. The Disc Blazes get a red treatment, Sky 2s are yellow and Mids go green. All three drop this December at Puma retailers like Overkill.

Puma Suede Low – Fat Lace Pack

Here’s an interesting twist on the classic Puma Suede lowtop design. This lowtop has been around for 40+ years now, riding waves of popularity before landing in legend territory. Plenty of the old school ‘heads that supported these out the gate wore them with fat laces. Clearly, Puma is aware of this, as the latest Suede modifies their swooping logo by using thick lace material that’s wrapped in an aglet at the heel. Vivid red, yellow or black pairs can be yours now from mita sneakers.
