Puma hasn’t been all that consistent in naming their Disc Blaze update, but whether it’s LTWT, Future or just Lite, the recent designs are moving definitively in the right direction. This latest Puma Disc Blaze LTWT CB gives us the tonal flavor that’s so popular these days, as the various upper materials offer a variety of interpretations of the Ribbon Red shade atop a white sole. These come off as the red answer to the blue ‘Hawaiian Ocean’ edition that arrived about a month earlier, so have a closer look and let us know which is better, then grab yours at Puma retailers like Afew.

Puma’s still futuristic Disc Blaze has enjoyed a resurgence of late thanks to new colorways on the original as well as a lightweight update. This latest drop builds off the new edition to create something that’s potentially even more eye-catching, a quality with which the namesake designer is synonymous. Not since the Nike SFB debuted have we seen another sneaker positioned as combat ready. And while this instance is more of a theme than true battlefield footwear, the imagery behind the forthcoming Blackrainbow x Puma R698 collection is indeed quite compelling. This is the first time we’ve seen a military-themed collab go all the way with putting the shoe on a battledress’d soldier, a visual presentation that echoes the earthy colorways at play on the original R698 Jogger and its newly revealed LTWT update. These hit BKRW in Paris next Saturday, April 6th with a wider release to follow on Friday the 12th, and you can see more images and a video of the photoshoot after the jump below.

It’s been fairly quiet in recent years with the Clyde and Suede, and more recently the Disc Blaze serving as the foundation of the German Cat’s hertiage lineup, so it’s good to have a new Puma Basket colorway hit store shelves. This new style is pure ‘classic’, from its box label modifier right down to the white leather/gum sole combo that in addition to timeless sneaker good looks, represents something approaching a white buck shoe. It’s good timing with traditional menswear permeating all facets of the fashion world, and you can find yours available at select retailers like Size?

Despite the opportunity to easily slip a snake-scaled Formstripe onto a variety of classic silhouettes, Puma has been deliberate with their Year of the Snake releases for 2013. Still, this new Puma Suede Snake COM.A pack makes you feel like they should go ahead and do a full color run on these snake-accented designs. It’s a strong look in red or black suede with grey serpent stripes on the side panel and a Chinese character on the tongue tag, but it looks like these two will complete the set, and you can see both of them in more detail after the jump below.

Sneaker News recently showed you the midtop version of the second AMQ Deck, and now we see the lowtop evolve into a sequel form. The Alexander McQueen for Puma AMQ Deck Lo II features a similarly exaggerated plimsoll silhouette as the original, but the key on the II as with the Mid is a graphically-intensive toe. This one takes the ‘deck’ thing literally, with red and ocean blue stripes that look like stained wood a la skateboard or boat decks. Take a closer look at the woody texture below, then grab yours from top-tier retailers like Concepts.

Each of the major Puma Suede releases over the past three or four months have been high-profile collaborative releases. The latest proves the German Cat still has what it takes to put out hits of their own, and ironically, it turns out to be a style they perfected forty-five years ago. That’s when the Suede bucked the conventions of the day and eschewed leather for its 1968 debut, and these clean red/white and black/white combos remain appealing to this day. Have a closer look below, let us know what you think of one of the truly iconic sneaker designs and grab either pair today from Concepts.
