Reebok Pump Fury HLS Summer 2012

What happens when you apply modern construction techniques and a slimmed down sole to what was arguably 1993′s very best running sneaker?  RBK already showed us both the ‘Tricolore’ and ‘Citron’/'Firecracker Red’ OG drops as a smooth transition to debut the Reebok Pump Fury HLS, and now we get the first crop of new colorways on this revised Insta Pump Fury.  Both pairs feature a jolt of summer energy, but a silver, blue and yellow pair, though exuberant, looks almost pedestrian next to the cornea-scorching Phoenix/Clemson edition.  Check out both in greater detail below, let us know which of these texture-toed Pump Fury HLS palettes is better and stick with Sneaker News for word on US availability.  Photos: atmos

Reebok Pump Omni Lite May 2012 Releases

Between the Swizz Beatz-curated Basquiat collabos to the Dream Team-ish ‘USAB’ colorway and last summer’s NFL Pack, we haven’t seen all that many ‘regular’ Reebok Pump Omni Lites hit retailers of late.  That means these three new pairs come as a nice surprise, and it’s clear they’re getting back to this shoe’s basketball roots with the majority of this pack.  Chicago and New York-style palettes both feature gum outsoles while a Sunrock-accented black edition aims for something closer to the high energy styles we often see in performance models worn in the streets.  Check out all three pairs below, then grab yours from Eastbay.

Reebok Shaqnosis 2012 Scrapped Samples

Footwear brands have embarked upon and emphatic push to re-live the 1990′s era of footwear, and if it’s going to be done, it has to be done right. News of the return of two memorable Reebok Shaq models in 2013 was one of the more exciting headlines of the week, but the day before, we laid our eyes on a Reebok Shaqnosis inspired revamp loosely dubbed the Reebok Shaqnosis 2012; industry sources soon confirmed that those samples were scrapped for now, but today we get a detailed look at two would-be colorways of the Shaqnosis – one in the OG-inspired White/Black and another in Black/Royal. More angles below, so take a look and let us know what you think. Photos: SneakerFreaker

Reebok Shaq Attaq Game Worn Autographed Pair on eBay

In celebration of the news that surfaced earlier today, let’s take a look back at one of Shaq’s earliest signature sneakers with Reebok – the Reebok Shaq Attaq. The Shaq Attaq was actually O’neal’s first signature shoe with Reebok, featuring a sleek futuristic design (a welcome deviation from the chunkier, more tank-like builds of other big-men sig models) with Reebok’s Insta-Pump technology infused into the chassis and exposed carbon-fiber in the footbed visible through the outsole.. This gargantuan pair is a size 20, worn and autographed for the Orlando Magic behemoth during his rookie campaign, and with the news of a 2013 return of the Shaq Attaq, the spotlight is back on one of the most memorable signature lines of the 1990′s. Check out the gallery below to refresh your memory on this classic, and head to the full listing (note: just the right shoe, not the whole pair) from ptblazer12 on eBay.

Swizz Beatz Hints At Reebok Shaq Return

It seems like Nike/Jordan is dominating the game with its sick onslaught of releases (2012 All-Star, Air Yeezy 2, OG Air Jordans, shall we go on), but it really is an open field of opportunity for other brands right now. Reebok is definitely taking the initiative to make their way back into the limelight, although yesterday’s news of the a retooled Shaqnosis named the Reebok Shaqnosis 2012 coerced lurkers to chime in with their thoughts – and it certainly wasn’t smiles all around. However, this latest update with reverse those frowns as Swizz Beatz, Reebok’s frontman for lifestyle footwear, hints at a return of the original Reebok Shaqnosis as well as the Reebok Shaq Attaq – proving that the brand is ready to bring out its most memorable classics from the 90′s in original form, while still giving them a contemporary spin on the side, althoughit has been confirmed that the Shaqnosis 2012 revamp sample will not release. Your thoughts on the return of the Reebok Shaq signature line? Let us know what you think in the comments below and we’ll keep you updated with this exciting development.

Update: It has been confirmed that the Reebok Shaq will return in 2013. Stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates!

Reebok Shaqnosis 2012

Shaquille O’Neal ended his Hall of Fame career playing in Peak sneakers after several years in Starters/his own Shaq brand, but before the Big AARP left RBK, he’d successfully broken the curse of the big man signature.  Models like the Shaq Attaq and its sequel along with the Preacher Ice are among the most coveted for a retro run, and those might indeed be on the way judging by this slightly altered form of arguably the most famous.  This new take on the Reebok Shaqnosis is similar to what Swizz Beatz did to Shawn Kemp’s Kamikaze and the Preacher-turned-Sermon, but its new Hexalite-heavy design will undoubtedly have purists screaming for the original.  Let us know what you think and if you’d rather see the OG Shaqnosis than this revision, and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for release info.  via Defy

Reebok Question White Pearlized Red | Detailed Images

Basketball was exciting in Philly during the late 90′s. The Sixers had just drafted one of the most anti-prototypical players in history in Allen Iverson – a 6’0′ point guard with the mentality of a gun-slinging shooting guard and the fearlessness of a Power Forward. Before he created the new fashion trend with his cornrows and casual courtside wear, Allen Iverson sparked things in his rookie year by winning the best honor for a first-year player and putting the moves on Michael Jordan, and eventually ‘The Answer’ went on to appear in multiple All-Star games, win four NBA Scoring Titles, earn an MVP award, and advance to the NBA Finals. Allen Iverson was the new era of NBA Player, and again, we can’t help but think back to where it started – the Reebok Question. The Pearlized Toe version, a Philly-exclusive release back in the day – will return later this month in a much-awaited return. Find these on May 25th at select Reebok accounts nationwide like Mr R Sports. Reebok Question OG White/Blue

This May 25th, Reebok will re-tell the story of the Question by re-releasing the original pearlized-toe colorway at select retailers, but not to worry because more Questions will be ‘answered’. The iconic White/Blue colorway that Allen Iverson so viciously crossed up Michael Jordan in will also see a return, as teased here by Reebok front-man Swizz Beatz. If you don’t remember that piece of NBA history (we’re sure Michael does as well), we’ve got a quick video to refresh your memory, so take a look and let us know what your favorite Allen Iverson NBA moment is!
