Was Shaq popular with the kids back in the day? The answer is yes: along with a superstar presence on the basketball court, Shaq showed a natural charisma behind the camera, appearing in several films like Blue Chips (although that was geared toward older fans) and the Oscar-snubbed “Kazaam” and “Steel”. Let’s not forget the Shaq-Fu video game, in which a realistic plot-line placed Shaq, fully trained in Kung Fu, in a weird dimension in a mission to save a young boy from an evil mummy. The shoes were popular with the kids as well, with this pristine pair of the Reebok Shaqnosis in DS condition bringing us back to the Shaq era of movies and games. After a strong start to 2013, the Insta Pump Fury’s contemporary update had fallen silent for a bit. Luckily, the Reebok Pump Fury HLS is coming back with a trio of new styles that represent the model’s initial foray into the world of printed patterns. Three high contrast Pump Fury HLS colorups add camouflage to their heels, which creates different effects on the earthy, neon and tonal blue palettes used for each respective pair. Reebok DMX Run fans, prepare to rejoice. In stock now is this, the white/nocturnal blue/neon yellow colorway of the recently revived Reebok runner. The pair was one of the more difficult ones to track down during the OG release of the sneakers, and one that seemed to always be a little bit more available out in the Asian market. This time around the same has been true so far, with no American shops as of yet stocking them. Packer Shoes comes to the rescue though, throwing up a full size run of the original colorway up on their webshop. Packer Shoes looks to be deepening their legacy with Reebok with an upcoming Reebok Kamikaze II release. The pair appears to be a tribute to the 1996 NBA All Star jerseys, with the Vector logo re-worked to include the colors and the chili pepper from that classic uni. Also hinting at that connection are the “1996″ hit at the end of the lace placket and Packer’s “Remember the Alamo” accompanying text. The Reebok Classic Leather is continuing its 30th anniversary world tour with a stop at Berlin’s Solebox. The team out there, all too familiar with getting their hands dirty via Reebok team-ups, have whipped up this pair as their entry into the birthday celebration.
