Some feelings were hurt in the process of Reebok’s attempted bring-back of the Frank Thomas Big Hurt retro earlier this year. First the sneaker was delayed and then subsequently shelved all together due to Thomas seeking profits from all shoes sold under the Big Hurt namesake, and the brand and man continued to bump heads in court considering his contract ended with the vector brand in 1998. Today we get a look at what could have been, with 7 colorways of the sneaker showing off a the three teams in which Frank suited up for over his 18 year career in the White Sox, Athletics, and Blue Jays. Which pair is your favorite? Hit the click for a better look at each colorway and grab your pair today from commoduscommodus on eBay.

Reebok The Shroud Retro

reebok the shroud Reebok The Shroud Retro

Reebok’s got even more digging to do as far as retro basketball silhouettes that are set to return. Apparently in the pipeline is a Reebok The Shroud retro. The Shawn Kemp model debuted back in 1997 and featured the namesake zippered covering along with Ultralite cushioning and an EVA sockliner on the innards. It was definitely an unorthodox model for its time, but we feel like plenty more would be accepting of them in this current era of shrouded shoes like the Jordan XX8 and the reborn Glove. Browse some images on them below and tell us if the return of the Reebok Shroud has got you excited.

mita sneakers are outfitting their Reebok Pump 25 shoe with the brightest colorway we’ve seen so far for this year’s collab projects celebrating the birthday of that important shoe tech. Inspired by their home in the “Electric City” of Tokyo, the sneaker features a bright teal base, colorful speckling along the midsole, and some glow in the dark for the outsole. The mita flavor is consistent here – on the insoles you’ll find their signature chain link fence graphic. Get a more complete look at the mita sneakers x Reebok Pump 25 below and watch for them to release on September 13th at Reebok Certified Network shops around the world.

The good news about the new Hanon x Reebok Classic Leather “3 Castles” project is that it will be releasing here in the US at the same as their home shop debuts the shoes. It’s still a little strange to see shoes hit worldwide concurrently rather than the slow trickle that we’re used to that begins with their partner of origin, but we’re not mad at the fact that the wait has been cut short. Have another look at this Reebok Classic Leather project with us below the break and remember that Sneaker Politics is one of the spots who will have them today.
