Wrapping up this round of individual spotlights on the ‘Sunset’ Engineered Mesh pack from Nike Sportswear is the model that came across the horizon most recently. The Nike Air Max 97 EM takes advantage of its missing third tier and reflective strip to maximize the scorching sunset orange/yellow gradient. This style has the most black of any of the Sunset Pack drops; decide for yourself how that impacts their status amongst the other sky-themed EMs and stick with Sneaker News for the exact release date on these June 2013 drops.

Fresh off the revelation of its sequel, the adidas Originals Tech Super hits the scene in arguably its most energetic colorway to date. The box label on these suggests Running White, Electricity and Black, but that leaves out the largest single section of the shoe, where a purple suede comes in to set the tone for this LA Lakers-leaning release. Let us know how these compare to the Blaze Purple/Yellow Ray ZX 700s we showed you last week, then grab the latest Tech Super from Shelta.

Sneaker News continues our individual profiles of the Nike Sportswear ‘Sunset’ Engineered Mesh pack with a look at the style that falls between the two we’d examined yesterday. The ‘Sunset’ Nike Air Max 90 EM joins AM1 and 95 with the use of a scintillating orange/yellow gradient, a look that’s particularly explosive as contrasted by the AM90′s sweeping black mudguard. It’s hard to pick a favorite because all four pairs are on point, but you can enjoy some new images of the Air Max 90 EM ‘Sunset’ below while we wait for the June ship date.

It was previewed as part of a 2013 LAF capsule slated for Q2, updates from which we haven’t heard in over six months. But even if we never see another pair of LIVESTRONG Nikes, the Nike LunarFlash+ will make its own mark. This new style offers a quintessential Nike Running colorway as Volt takes over the middle and top midsole with greys and white completing an updated take on the palette that made the Air Max 95 a smash hit. Vibrant, lightweight and breathable, the LunarFlash+ is a perfect summer shoe whether you intend it for serious running or just premium everyday comfort, and you’ll see more images below before buying at retailers like Kith.

Furthering the sense that the original Presto’s cage was the first inkling of what was to come with (Dynamic) Flywire is this latest release from Nike Sportswear. The Nike Lunar Presto combines the classic Alpha Project DNA with a LunarLon cushion and DF cables for a look that reminds you something like the Free Powerlines+ series might not exist (at least in the same way) were it not for the groundbreaking Presto. 1976 produced some notable (if underrated, by today’s standards) running shoes. Nike’s LD, the adidas Montreal and New Balance 320 stand out as highlights from that bicentennial year, but no model better captures the spirit of ’76 quite like the Nike Waffle Racer. Today, nearly forty years after the debut, we see the Waffle Racer VNTG take on one colorway each from classic and contemporary styles. Both are timeless two-toned styles, but the grey/black edition appears as though it could have indeed been a first run release, while the Sport Turquoise edition is a distinctly modern phenomenon. Click through so you can see which you like better, then be sure to check back with Sneaker News for US release info on these summer 2013 drops.

Even when it comes to reproducing original colorways, the only Nike releases that typically come with ‘Retro’ on the box label are Air Jordans. But Nike Sportswear appropriated the ‘OG’ tag for a series of VNTG-treated originals earlier this year, so with that in mind, it’s somewhat less shocking that this model pictured above is officially named the Nike Air Vortex Retro. This suede and mesh makeup does indeed have a classic vibe thanks to its simple red/grey colorway atop a white sole, so have a closer look below and grab yours at NSW stores like Caliroots.
