If the adidas Originals Summer 2014 preview gave us a big enough hint, the adidas Tech Super will see a resurgence this year. And while more recently, pairs of the classic runner have strayed away from traditional looks to appease the whole luxury motif given prints, patterns and textures in line with snakeskin. But it’s always nice to see the OG return to its roots with some classic themes like this latest pair featuring a white base while aluminum hits in suede panels and purple and teal hit the three stripes. It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise given the shoe’s success and the Primeknit influx hitting the likes of the new Pure Boost and even old school classics like the adidas Campus 80s. For all of the Puma purists out there, their Puma R698 is getting all kinds of retro love lately ranging from the original colorway hitting retailers this May 17th to jump off what looks to be a fairly productive year for the running silhouette. Today we get three new colorways to choose from in leather and mesh combinations ranging from the loud purple, pink and neon green look, to a more toned down monochromatic red, and lastly a black pair with hints of gold and a gum sole for a premium take on things. The silhouette has proven time and time again that it can use a lifestyle scheme to it’s advantage like in the recent tonal suede stylings of the “Athletic Pack” or even their four part collaborative effort with The Distinct Life that brought us some premium leather goodness. Today we get to see the GL 6000 switch things up with a vibrant “Sea Glass” colorway initially seen last August in a preview. The Nike Free 3.0 Flyknit is one of those sneakers that makes a lot more sense on feet. The tight nature of the Flyknit along with that Nike Free set up usually has them looking rather curved on these sort of shots, but once you see them actually laced up you get the picture. This time around for the Flyknit performance shoe the sneakers fade from orange to volt to white from top to bottom – think of it as sort of a modern take on the old Nike Air Max 95 gradient.
