There’s really not much needed to be said. It’s just another way for Nike and JB to make us ponder the possibilities of the Jordan design legacy and the potential (or maybe failures) of future output. It would have been interesting to see the new AJ 2010 in there just for kicks. But then again, that’s causing some buzz per se. Without further adéu, the remaining Jordan series: XVII – 2009.

Air Jordan History of Flight I-VIII – White/Red – 25th Anniversary Collection

If you saw these on some dude’s feet rather than on display, your first instinct would probably be to burst into laughter at how fake they are. After all, these weren’t even a real colorway! But this Jordan set is certainly not going to be ridiculed. For our viewing pleasure, the entire Air Jordan collection is on exhibition in a special unified color scheme, following the concept of the hyped white/white collection seen after the launch of Jumpman23’s History of Flight featurette. The entire upper take on white, while the linings and soles have red, all topped off with black laces. Some of the Jay’s seen may resemble pre-existing colorways, but get it straight- none of these have ever been seen before in a pallette layout as this. To make them even more unique, all the inner linings feature a lux (and quite comfy looking) quilting stitching. Enjoy the shots, the rest of the Jordan collection to come soon!

Nike Zoom Kobe IV – Aqua – Black – Red – Sample

We’ve seen so many colourways of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV at this point that pretty much nothing could shock us. Even with the wacky colourway pictured above, that’s still true, which isn’t to say that this new pair isn’t exciting. Among the first thoughts when viewing the combination of turquoise, white, black and red is that they’re reminiscent of the old school Vancouver Grizzlies uniforms. Nike SB Dunk High Premium – Brain Wreck – Variant Samples

Todd Bratrud’s insane ‘Brain Wreck’ Nike SB Dunk High Premium was one of the most creative collaborative visions that made its way to retail this year. When we first peeped a sample during a June Nike SB showcase, we expected the heels to have their designer’s name, but he flipped the script to reveal a cohesive theme on behalf of Skate Mental. As for SM, they were to be incorporated in the special ‘NIKE SM’ tag on this variant sample’s tongue, but that was nixed in favour of one with blue accents.

With this in mind, you can start Waldo-ing all the differences: the sample outsole was pink instead of black, sample toe is light grey instead of pink. Probably the two most significant changes were stitching: the sample only had an outline of the amazingly-detailed quilting found on the released edition, plus its heel is screened on instead of embroidered. This is the kind of ridiculously rare stuff that truly great collections are made of, and one size 9 pair is available at MentalKicks.

Air Jordan XIX (19) – Look See Sample

Released the year after MJ’s third and final retirement, the Air Jordan XIX is probably best remembered at this point as being paired with the bred AJIVs in 2008’s 4/19 Countdown Pack. This sample gives us a glimpse into what could have been a well-received release, had Michael and the Wizards succeeded in their last-ditch push toward the 2003 NBA Playoffs.

These would have been perfect for home games at the MCI Center, but instead, Mike called it quits, met a beautiful Cuban girl and got inducted into the Hall of Fame. The Association goes on without him, but we suspect LeBron is changing his number for the same reasons you’ll check out more photos after the jump. via Kenlu

Supra Skytop II – Gradient Sample – Available on eBay

Can’t make it to Paris this weekend for the Supra Skytop II release at colette? No problem. Well, that is, if you’re a size 11.5. The Chad Muska’s second signature Supra is set to drop on November 21 exclusively at France’s best sneaker boutique, but you can try your hand at this sample pair and use what you save on airfare for shipping and handling. It appears that these were plucked from the colette set, so their ’sample’ status mostly reflects their yet-to-be-available status. If you need some AJVI flavor in your Supras, cop these from D_Is_Rolling on eBay.
