While LeBron James’ line remains obsessed with the whole diamond theme, the upcoming Jordan CP3.VI AE takes a different route with this quick trip to the silver mine. The colorway shown is a metallic silver and white one that’s not yet been revealed amongst the upcoming Jordan Brand releases. So this look might be one of the few times we’ll ever get to see the colorway should this Jordan CP3.VI AE remain in sample purgatory. We recently gave you a look at an unreleased sample known as the Jordan Dominate Pro Flex – clear football/training derived design that should have released during the 2012 NFL Season. Looks like we’ll have to wait for Jordan to dip his toes into a deeper line of footwear, but what are your thoughts on this design? The outsole is definitely Training and Turf ready, while the neoprene inner bootie looks like it can provide the lockdown with ease. One of the revamped Nike classics to look out for is definitely the Nike Vengeance SD. Obviously derived from the original V-Series model of the early 1980′s, the Nike Air Vengeance gets punched up with more durable materials, a perforated and padded tongue, and some reflective material on the heel for a pretty sick visual effect. When we first saw the Jordan Aero Mania during the product preview for the Holiday 2012 season, we were filled in some interesting info regarding a strong college connection with the shoe. The Final Four is indeed void of Jordan Brand outfitted schools with the exception of Wichita State, which isn’t officially a Jordan Brand school but has been wearing Jumpman on their jerseys. This unreleased sample accentuates the wild design of the Aero Mania, with an “Aqua” upper paired with hints of black and purple for that Air Jordan VIII “Aqua” feel, but keep in mind that a “Grape” colorway is hitting in low-top height. Things are rolling well for Carmelo Anthony, who just dropped fifty on the undermanned Heat and lead the Knicks with incredible momentum going into the Playoffs. We’re still waiting to see Melo rock the “Heat Suit” colorway of the Jordan Melo M9 (also dubbed the Nemesis), but we’ve been distracted recently with some unreleased colorways like the sick Royal/Orange “Knicks” colorway and this Black/Silver/Crimson version that looks similar to the one we spotted out at the Jordan Brand Flight Deck during the 2013 All-Star Weekend. With a clean color-combo and some interesting materials on the toe-box, it’s sad that these never released, and we figure they’ll stay unreleased considering the production dates go back to July. Outside of the U.S., a lot of Kobe-branded Nike Basketball models hit shelves with prices well under the flagship MSRP. Models like the Venomenon, Dream Season, and KB24 have all seen some level of success particularly in Asia, where The Black Mamba is king, and this new model dubbed the Nike Zoom Kobe Gametime was ready to be added to the mix. This particular colorway features the basic Lakers mix of Black, Yellow, and Grey, with the Kobe Shozoku logo displayed proudly on the heel and tongue (with the latter featuring a nice snakeskin material), and considering these were limited only to Asia, finding a pair in the U.S. is limited to online shops. The influx of football and training-inspired designs reflected Nike’s most recent takeover of the NFL, with debuts of signature models like the Nike Zoom Revis and other solid Trainer-style releases giving Nike fans the opportunity to dress up in all Swoosh gear. Jordan Brand had some plans in mind, with this unreleased Jordan Dominate Pro Flex shedding some light into the what the Brand had in store; with a fierce outsole design, neoprene materials, breathable mesh, and carbon fiber panels, the Jordan Dominate Pro Flex could have done just that – dominate – but we’ll have to wait ’til next season for any sort of release of this kind. It stinks that there aren’t enough “Knicks” colorways out there, but its particularly puzzling that Carmelo’s M9 is so limited in that regard. Just like how LeBron’s signature shoes come in several Heat-based colorways, the Jordan Melo M9 should have at least three – one for Home, one for Away, and a third “Alternate” spin. Something like this unreleased Royal Blue/Orange version would fit that bill perfectly, wouldn’t it? It’s got a patent leather toe-box with a solid Royal Blue upper and hints of orange on the outsole, laces, Jumpman, and Melo logo on the upper for quite the effective Knicks look. With a production date that hits close to mid-June of 2012, it’s likely that these won’t hit stores, but if they do, we’ll let you know.
