Black uppers have produced a number of satisfying releases for the second Nike SB Team Edition lowtop. The model got its start in late 2011 with the ‘SB Chronicles’ edition, made a subtle shift for Grant Taylor’s SOTY tribute and dropped in a ‘Blackout’ makeup last summer. This time around, we get the beloved gum sole on the bottom of a black nubuck upper that’s been treated to tonal accents by way of the trusty Anthracite shade. Have a closer look after the jump, then pick yours up at SB retailers like Premier.

Following up on the grey/red edition that hit for May, we see a new Nike SB Dunk Low with the pleasing front/back split. It turns out this can be executed in a number of ways, as instead of a roughly half-and-half divide, these new Dunk Low Pro SBs are about 80% Deep Royal Blue. This leaves Midas Gold for the rear, where the sockliner, ankle collar and Swoosh all come together for a satisfying unity. These shades along with a Pine Green tongue tag creates a glancing connection to Brazil, ‘Boca Jr’ or even ‘Marge Simpson’, but they deserved to be appreciated on their own substantial merit now that they’re available at SB shops like Premier.

Vans began cranking out their vulcanized waffle sole lowtops all the way back in 1966. Soon after, the Van Doren brothers recognized that skaters were wearing their deck shoes for the rebellious new sport whose nexus made it a neighbor to the original Anaheim Vans factory. In 1976, Steve Van Doren commissioned the first ever skateboarding shoe, and the Authentic’s padded offspring the Vans Era was born. Along with the Old Skool that debuted the Jazz stripe two years later, Vans Vault is resurrecting classic renditions including the OG Style 36 two-tone colorways and a trio of OG Palm Leaf Eras in colors inspired by the edgy ’80s. These five pairs will hit Vault retailers this June and you can see each one after the jump below.

Vans has issued a variety of brushed twill styles in recent years, most of which have been done on classic plimsolls. The Era came through with the most recent such pack, but this time we go back to the original #44 deck shoe upon which the Van Doren empire was built. These latest ‘Brushed Twill’ Vans Authentics walk a fine line between summer and fall colors, each shade of the quartet of primaries adjusted to find a middle ground of vibrancy and softness. Click through to see how the leather boot laces impact each pair, then grab yours at select retailers like The General.

How can you make a shoe issued to jailhouse inmates an attractive fashion option? How about crafting it in three highly wearable suede colors? That’s what Off the Wall did with these new Vans Vault Prison Issue LX lowtops, a duo of new drops whose origins derive from a contract between the Van Dorens and the California penal system. Vans proves beyond a reasonable doubt that when constructed correctly, this shoe has serious everyday appeal, and you can see the walnut and navy editions in more shots below before buying at select retailers like The General.

Chet Childress has been riding for Nike Skateboarding for more years than the model on which he just collaborated has colorways. That makes this Chet Childress x Nike SB Zoom Air Verona a bit different than your average pro makeup on something like the Dunk SB. Childress dips the Verona’s Elephant-toed upper in Dark Obsidian, letting the insoles serve as a spanned canvas for a handcrafted piece. Stick with Sneaker News for word on US availability and check out some new images below in the meantime.

Supra calls this latest design a polka dot, and while that’s not entirely inaccurate, it does leave you to look more carefully for more details. This newest Supra Skytop reads like a witch house festival lineup, its upper completely covered in triangles and plus signs. The black upper gives way to white symbols and red accents, and you’ll see them in greater detail after the jump. Let us know how these compare to the standout ‘Drummond’ Skytops that just released, then grab a pair straight from Supra.

Several of Supra’s notable recent releases have drawn on inspiration provided by Kanye West. Here’s a new Supra S1W that points to another extremely successful rapping renaissance man as a muse, albeit from the opposite end of the spectrum. The ‘Summertime’ S1W takes us back to a time before Breitlings, Bentleys and ‘ballin’, to when DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince’s ode to warm vibes breathed new life into a Kool & the Gang classic. It seems fitting that with all these old school ties, the shoe itself is a cutting edge vibrant coral orange, so check them out up close below, then buy straight from Supra.
