It’s been nearly two months since we saw a new Nike SB Koston SE release here at Sneaker News, so let’s check in on the newest pair of Eric Koston’s first Nike Skateboarding signature shoes. The Koston SE is done many times in canvas as compared to the suede inline edition, but this pair opts for the novelty of a ripstop nylon build, which really comes to life in with bright yellow covering the entire upper. With black and white accents, these have a bit of a ‘Lightning’ vibe to them that’s subdued by the teal peeking out from the front of the outsole. Click in so you can see more of how it all comes together and stick with Sneaker News for word on their arrival at US SB shops.

Nike SB Stefan Janoski – Grey – Yellow – White

We’ve seen plenty of graphics and patterns as well as physical variations on the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski of late, how about getting back to the core of what made this the powerhouse it is. This newest pair opts for a more traditional approach, but actually it’s also offering a novel layout with the perforated yellow leather tongue and ankle coming together perfectly on an otherwise grey suede colorway. This works well for so many reasons, not the least of which is a connection to the kind of casual slip-on comfort that inspired the Janoski Max. This time around, it’s the Nike SB Stefan Janoski Mid Premium serving as the canvas, and that would appear to be literally as the red, purple and black, and black and grey pairs both sport textile uppers. They also share black laces and white soles in common, and are coming up with a release in Japan this Saturday, so be sure to stick with Sneaker News after you’ve seen more photos below.

Nike SB Lunar One Shot – Purple – Yellow

Unless another advancement is made, unless there’s some clever innovation, some kind of abrasion-resistant coating or another clever method, we’ll never see a Flyknit skate shoe. It’s kind of a big ‘if’, though, especially considering that the shoe pictured above is defined by its abrasion-resistant coating. The Nike Lunar OneShot arrives here today in a new Lakers-style colorway whose black tongue puts it in line with a ‘Hollywood Nights’ style a la the Flyknit Kobe 9 Elite. The Hyperscreen gives a tonal purple effect as you can see in great detail with more photos below, then cop yours at shops like Caliroots.

Nike SB Project BA “Light Crimson”

March 16th, 2014 by | No comments

nike sb project ba light crimson 01 570x399 Nike SB Project BA Light Crimson

From time to time, a sneaker released with a common main color is named for its most prominent accent shade. This practice dates all the way back to the Fire Reds and Military Blues of the world and is in full effect here with this new release here today. This ‘Light Crimson’ Nike SB Project BA is mostly black and has nearly as much white as red, but it’s the namesake shade coming in on the laces and tongue as well as that LunarLon heel that really sets this design off. Click in for a closer look at Brian Anderson’s latest colorway, then cop yours at shops like Premier.

Nike SB Air Jordan 1 – Arriving at Retailers

March 11th, 2014 by | 4 comments

nike sb air jordan 1 premier 0 Nike SB Air Jordan 1 Arriving at Retailers

Where does the first Nike SB Air Jordan 1 rank among the best Nike Skateboarding collaborations?  It is most certainly one of the most anticipated, given that the majority of SB drops over the past decade-plus hit the scene not too long after we knew they were coming.  The Air Jordan 1 SB represents more of a concept because skaters were wearing AJ1s in the 80s and that’s the whole idea, but it’s also something that’s been tumbling around in the rumor mill for years now.  So to finally have this project come together and with Craig Stecyk providing the visuals, it’s only right that the best shops be prepared with strategies like the Tuesday-Thursday raffle in place for the release on Saturday at Premier.
