A lot has been said about the extremely popular Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski over the almost five years this boat inspired sig shoe has been crushing it. Arguably nobody has described the appeal of this model better than the store who first got stock of the latest colorway: “In what shoe you can already in the skate park and then, without you to move to grandma’s birthday.” That hypothetical, with bit of humor added via Google Translate, captures the beautiful essence of the Janoski in Obsidian canvas atop a white vulc sole. T19 is one of those names that rings a bell in the sneakerhead community, but you have to be fairly deeply involved to understand its meaning and significance.  The Japanese skateboard brand known for its signature royal blue (and the 2005 Nike SB Dunk collab in the same shade) has linked up with one of the nation’s more prolific guest sneaker designers for a new collaboration inspired by Off the Wall’s BMX heritage.  This capsule anchored by the T19 x Beauty & Youth x Vans Old Skools includes two checkerboard’d colorways in addition to t-shirts, a BMX cruiser bike, skateboard deck and wrench.  Click in to see both pairs based in T19 blue, then see what you can do about copping a pair from B&Y.

Because a good number of their kicks are made of literal canvas, plenty of Vans releases over the years have been figurative canvases for a huge number of patterns and prints.  The latest example brings together a couple of timeless style icons, as a blue paisley bandana pattern pops up on the eternally cool Vans Slip-On.  These have a crisp feel in True Blue with white designs and a pristine stripeless waffle sole, so click in to get a better view, then cop yours at shops like Concepts.

Supreme, that legendary institution of downtown skatewear in NYC, turns 20 years old this week. The shop has kept the anniversary fanfare to a relative minimum: they’ll be re-introducing the two tees that were available when they opened their doors back in 1994, but that’s it – there will be no blitz of hype anchored collabs, no special sneakers in sight, and no inkling that they’re all of a sudden going to start playing by the same rules that the rest of the industry does. We thought it fitting to give Supreme a bit more spotlight then that, and as a result they’re the focus of our latest Sneaker News NINE@NINE series.
