Have you gotten on board with Nike SB’s new SE offerings? They started popping up shortly after the Lunar One Shot debuted, and that’s no coincidence, because what separates SEs from regular SBs is their use of the same kind of protective coating around the ollie area. That’s the darker section you see added to the toe of this tonal red Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski lowtop, which should then have the kind of abrasion resistance to be even more durable than the average suede pair. Check out some photos below so you can see what you’re getting, then cop yours at skate shops like Premier.

A.Skate x Vans Era Laceless Pro

a skate vans era laceless pro 01 A.Skate x Vans Era Laceless Pro

The last time we saw the non-profit A.Skate Foundation collaborating with Vans it was during the Half Cab 20th anniversary celebration.  Their mission in supporting autistic children through skateboarding finds a different manifestation this time around, as they bring in the up and coming artist Jay Croft to pen the insole art on these new A.Skate x Vans Era Laceless Pro lowtops.  The upper is a clean charcoal grey and rides a white sole, so Croft’s ‘Obsessed to Skate’ graphics turn out to be the most expressive part of the design.  Click in to see more angles, then cop yours straight from Vans.

nike sb dunk high gradient stitch available 02 570x399 Nike SB Dunk High Gradient Stitch Available

If you’ve ever seen an upcoming release pictured with all of its laces threaded in the eyelets and then been disappointed when you realized they’re not all one string, this might be the perfect shoe for you. This newest Nike SB Dunk High drop has the super-simple color code of ‘Black/White-Black’, but that only tells part of the story. Yes, the shoe is about 90% black and the white midsole makes up most of the difference, but the design is really defined by the fiery gradient contrast stitching that secures each overlaid part to the base layer. Check them out in more photos after the jump, then cop yours from SB shops like Premier.

nike sb dunk low valentines day rd summary 570x425 Nike SB Dunk Low Valentines Day Release Date

Well, that’s fitting. The Nike SB Dunk Low Premium ‘Valentine’s Day’ will be releasing on the holiday that inspires its University Red and white colorway. They’re the second Premium Dunk SB to hit NikeStore in one week following Diamond’s ‘Tiffany’ Highs on Saturday, and just one of several significant drops hitting retailers this Friday. Some people were calling these a ‘St. John’s’ Low but the suede overlay has a marbled texture whose closest precedent is last year’s MIA collab and not a ‘Be True’ original. Click in for a closer view and let us know if the ‘Valentine’s Day’ Dunk SBs are among your picks for this big weekend to come.

The Vans Era belongs to a category of sneakers for which patterned textiles aren’t just one of today’s trends; they resonate with the shoe’s core identity.  The Era gives you five different areas (including tongue and insole) to customize for each colorway, and with these patterned materials, combining the outer four into one and complementing that with a leather lining as on these two new ‘Akemi Pack’ Era LXes from Vans Vault is one of the best ways to do it.  Click in to see more and stick with Sneaker News for updates on what should be a spring 2014 release.
