Erik Ellington played a role in the presentation of the Deathwish co-signed Pistol debut, but what about his latest Supra signature model? The Supra Ellington had been quiet for a while there, but now we have a couple new colorways for spring. This Air Jordan IV-inspired skate lowtop has a bit of J-Pack flare with the royal blue suede adding white and black accents, while a second pair features a blacked out upper with perfed nubuck side panels in place of the AJ4-ish netting. Harmony Korine’s latest film, the bizarre, James Franco led Spring Breakers is getting a tie-in piece of footwear from the folks at Supra. Shown is the Spring Breakers x Supra Donavyn, a sneaker that brings in some brand new tech via the leathers used on the upper. The hot pink surface may have that wet, patent leather look to it, but the material utilized is actually a full grain leather tweaked to be able to take on such extreme colors as the pink in place. It debuted just over five weeks ago and already Jim Greco’s latest Supra signature sneaker is ready with a collaborative release. The Berrics x Supra Hammer is the result of what would happen if you added a bit of yellow to the OG black/white colorway, and may in fact be a special run of that design, as the midsole is noted as ‘hand painted’. This personal touch matches a detail that’s instantly one of the Crown brand’s best small niceties: a custom hangtag created by Greco himself hole-sawing and autographing 7-ply discs from a Deathwish deck. Supra is the latest to join in on Year of the Snake festivities as they unveil a new snakeskin-embossed leather colorway on their first casual runner. The Supra Owen ‘YOTS’ comes in a mixture of the scaled material plus black mesh, along with select orange hits in a timely fluorescent shade. Supra debuted the Owen Mid last month with a contrasting couple of colorways. On one hand we had a simple black build with select white hits, and on the other, a bold blacklight style with ‘Joker’/'Night Vision’ overtones that was dubbed the ‘Clampett’. Also standing out like a swamp-bred family in the heart of Beverly Hills is one of three new Supra Skytop IIIs, which happens to be joined by a simple black Block-Stitch TUF design and another relatively subdued nod to the Chicago Bulls. Supra go in on the boat shoe trend relatively early when they released the Cuban loafer in 2008, then followed up on it with a more deck-ish revision and ’10′s Belay lowtops. That section of the Crown brand catalog had been quiet for a while, but now with a new silo ready to go, expect smooth sailing on a bunch of new colorways.
