With Nike well on their way to taking over the outfitting contracts for the NFL, you can expect the realm of Football related PE’s to get a lot deeper in the future. A quick taste of that was the Nike 2012 Pro Bowl Pack, a trio of trainers that didn’t find their way onto the field of Aloha Stadium but were quite a treat for the involved players nonetheless. With the Nike Trainer 1.3 Max Breathe, the Nike Free Trainer 5.0, and a slick colorway of the Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse all included, it was the kind of pack that likely would have been snapped up pretty quickly in the event of a retail release. And while that didn’t go down you still have a chance at grabbing a pair, as the full set is up for grabs on eBay now. Although the human body has difficulty assimilating energy from the calories in alcohol, the carbohydrate-laden drinks in which its often served and the nutritionally poor choices for munchies many make while imbibing, make drinking and looking fit an almost impossible match.  Leave it to a couple of designers at a Singaporean sneaker boutique to crack the code on how to bring fitness and fermentation together, the new Limited Edt x Reebok Workout having been inspired by the Tiger Beer bottle’s aesthetic around the time of the Workout’s 1987 debut.  The upper has been enhanced with a gradient that imitates the fizz of carbonation as well as a tiger-striped insole, while the shoe’s colors are a direct match to both the bottle and a special edition box that’s a first for this Workout 25th anniversary capsule.  There are still two more pairs to be revealed before the global launch on February 15th, so check out Limited Edt‘s efforts and stick with Sneaker News for more.

Despite only being just over a month old, 2012 has already been a pretty a pretty good year for Huarache fans. We’re coming up on the global launch of the Workout 25th Anniversary next week, so before we get completely engulfed by the NBA All-Star buildup, let’s examine the remaining revelations from this 15-pair super-set.  The Kasina x Reebok Workout takes the dignified approach that so many of these understated collabortations have offered, but manages to stand out from a largely sueded pack thanks to the use of a dark tweed upper.  This multicolored woolen upper looks fantastic next to walnut brown leather accents and a white sole, but are they better than SNS’ equally clean brown leather look?  Click through to examine more images of the Kasina Workout 25 so you can see how these rank against the rest of the capsule, and expect them all at retailers around the globe on February 15th.

Had the NFC Championship game played out a little differently, and the 49ers clenched a Superbowl victory, this release would no doubt be surrounded by a bit more fanfare. It’s a dope retro nonetheless, and you don’t have to be a San Francisco fan to respect the revival of the Nike Air Diamond Turf II in this black and gold colorway. Just one of many hot trainer retros on tap for 2012, this pair will hit in a few hours when February 8th officially arrives. Nike Basketball had a notable stretch in the mid and into the late ’90s that was defined by some of the most ostentatious (and bulky) tooling the industry has ever seen.  But the Uptempo series and its peers weren’t the only Swooshed kicks back then coming with crazy midsoles; just take the Nike Total Air Pillar for example.  A remnant from a bygone era when we were just getting our feet wet with true full-length Max Air cushioning, this model is known for its 1998 OG colorways like the ‘Michigan’, white/neon and Griffey/Mariners-style designs, but this summer will bring a couple new palettes with slight alterations on the classic blocking patterns.  Check out these Bulls and Celtics-leaning colorups up close after the jump and let us know how they compare to the originals.  via Dino

The OG Insta Pump Fury debuted in 1993 with one of Reebok’s most memorable colorways, its blend of black, red and Citron among the more distinct even for a period known for its classic looks.  The one style that’s arguably more strongly associated with RBK would be their iconic grey-accented white leather CL looks like the original Reebok Workout, and this pair pictured above marks the first time we’ve seen one of its 25th anniversary collaborators utilize such an homage.  The Insta Pump Fury by Fullerton, CA’s Beatnic was intended to feature a Pump add-on, but that proved infeasible so the audacious colorway was embellished with welding dots on the toecap and heel counter to suggest pressurized air.  Are these the most interesting Workout 25s we’ve seen so far?  Stay tuned for the final four revelations and let us know which one’s best when you click through to see more angles of the BTNC edition.
