We can chalk up the first Nike Zoom Revis model to be an oustanding success, as this Trainer has become a rather popular pick among sneakerhead consumers, celebrities, and athletes alike. While Darrelle’s status as a New York Jet in the future is still uncertain with trade rumors and such being swirled around, we can certainly bank on a Zoom Revis 2 to be in the works. We’re sure designer Ken Link is working on that these days, but it’s still a treat to see the Zoom Revis 1 in its early days – particularly in sketch forms. These sketches appear to be at the final step before production, with a look at an earlier silhouette providing some direction toward the final design. Will you like to see a Revis 2? Let us know in the comments below.

Unfortunately, MLB sneakerheads can’t really show off the depth of their collections on the baseball diamond like the NBAers can do on a nightly basis. Jeremy Guthrie, on the other hand, has thrown out some hints on how deep he really rolls, because if you have a locked vault to hold your stash, then you probably do have something worth noting. This Nike Trainer 1.3 Mid Free PE should prove to you that his ties to the Swoosh are fairly deep as well, because having your own custom made logo is only given to the select few. J-Guts probably has a lot more in the vault (like this Air Jordan 1 Cleat), but what do you think of this PE? Check out a full shot below.

It appears the most successful WMNS line from Nike Training is altering its name for the third round. The Nike WMNS Free TR III drops the ‘Fit’ from its name, but lives up to the birdsnest-built series’ reputation for some of the most eye-catching kicks that, yes, you will see at the gym. That’s because the combination of lightweight, barefoot design and superior breathability along with eye-catching patterns like this Violet Force and Tourmaline striped affair represents just about everything a girl could want in a gym shoe. Have a closer look after the jump, stick with Sneaker News because new colorways will keep pushing the envelope and grab yours straight from NikeStore.

Who said a seamless upper had to be one piece? The Nike Free Trainer 5.0 might not be entirely seamless, but it has that glove-like fit that tightens and loosens when it needs to thanks to the incredible weave on the upper. This new colorway of Total Crimson and Hyper Blue is in fact an NRG designation, meaning you probably won’t find these everywhere. Oneness is one location that has them in-stock as an in-store buy only, so check out their angles below and keep an eye out soon.

Last December we showed you a pretty awesome mock-up of the Nike Air Trainer SC High done in Premium style, featuring clean leathers, elephant print, and patent leather at the toe-guard. This awesome composition is so crisp that even Bo Jackson wouldn’t want to crease them up with a hardcore training session, and much to the satisfaction of Nike Training fans, we’re finally get hit with some release information. Patta reports a release this Friday, March 22nd, and a U.S. release will likely happen later on down the line, so if you’re located in Europe, be mindful that these drop on the 22nd.

Over the last couple of years, the “custom sneaker” has been defined by an existing model made distinct by a new and creative colorway. Guys like Mache Customs have dominated that category, with his keen eye for colorways being spotted by the Miami Heat duo to the point where he was actually commissioned to make one-of-ones for ‘em, and Revive Customs has used his impeccable touch for swapping soles on some old-school models while remixing colorways on the Air Max 1 and Air Trainer 1. One sneaker customizer that the community should also have the respect for is Brian Villanueva aka “Wolfstein”, who goes above and beyond the basic colorways and infuses several ideas into one incredible concept which ultimately culminates in a new pair of shoes.
His past projects have made it clear that he’s absolutely enamored by the Nike Mag, as his recent HyperMag customs and his unique Prototype design have hinted at, and his latest work pretty much solidifies his desire to recreate the famous sneaker from Back To The Future II in any way he can. Already impressed by the futuristic look of the Nike Zoom Revis, Brian Mag’d out the shoes by adding in a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery, a built-in circuit board to control lights and the battery, an on/off switch, electroluminescent detailing on the strap and midsole, LED lights on the heel, a built-in port for recharging, and a custom-built charger. Most sneaker customizers have a hard time adding just one from that list of ingredients. It seems like a lot to fit into one shoe, right? It sure is, but what sends this custom over the top is that the shoes are entirely wearable. Check out the detailed gallery and video below because these are simply one of the best Customs we’ve ever seen.

Along with Nike Training’s 1997 Zoom Turf Jet, the Sportswear division is resurrecting its little brother. In a surprise move that echoes the upcoming Air Way Up retros even as we’ve enjoyed plenty of Penny 1 releases in recent years, the Nike Turf Raider returns in a brand new Pimento colorway that echoes the Challenge Red employed on the recent Turf Jet Quickstrike. Just as was the case fifteen years ago, these offer a stylish but slightly more affordable take on the turf trainer than the Jets, and you’ll find what we hope to be the first of several new colorways available now at Extra Butter.
