nike air trainer max 94 multi color 1 Nike Air Max Trainer 94 Multi Color

The Nike Air Trainer Max ’94 is no stranger to audacious appearances, coming off the hologram-logo’d ’Nike Knows’ edition around the time of last month’s Super Bowl.  This new pair arriving today at select Nike Sportswear retailers takes a completely different direction, relying upon a clash of colors and textures rather than a specific theme.  These have black and purple on the overlay with Safari print in grey and black that borders on that classic Air Jordan ‘Cement’ look.  The mesh is rendered in neon yellow and teal and red laces finish off what might be the craziest Air Trainer Max 94 to date, one you can find now at NSW shops like DC’s Major.

For a sneaker with such a technical name like the Nike Air Trainer Max 360 2, you would expect the brand to go all out with new design and innovation. However, this model is just a revamped version of original Air Trainer II (Let’s not get into arguments about nomenclature for now) with the plump Max Air unit acting as the primary source of cushioning. What remains is some signature detailing like the mid-foot strap as well as the clean (and forgotten) “Medicine Ball” colorway of White, Navy, and Pecan Brown. These are promised to be in stock next month, so check out the detailed photos and let us know what you think about this most recent OG Trainer revival.

Major League pitcher Jeremy Guthrie has been in the big leagues for ten years now, and a few years back, the noted sneakerhead had a chance run-in with a gentleman whose collaborative sneaker CV is quite possibly the pair-for-pair most valuable of anyone who’s made that many pairs.  The current Royal was with Baltimore visiting Detroit, happened to meet Eminem‘s bodyguard at a hotel gym, had a chance to make some Nike Air Trainer 1.3 Max 360s and was encouraged by a Nike rep to include an Eminem logo along with Guthrie’s own ‘JG46′ in anticipation of a future gift.  Apparently, JG and Em haven’t crossed paths again so Guthrie still has his pair, but he was fortunate enough to get Slim Shady’s John Hancock on the pair as you’ll see in more photos below.
