Nike Zoom KD IV ‘Scoring Title’

At the end of the 2012 NBA Season, Kevin Durant joined one of the most exclusive clubs in the league’s history – the NBA Scoring Title ‘Three-peat’ crew. Nike is celebrating this landmark of KD’s career with the Nike Zoom KD IV ‘Scoring Title’ PE, which features an ‘Entourage’-like Yellow/Blue colorway with a unique graphic on the upper and interior lining. The tongue features a triplet basketball/hoop logo with his scoring averages of the past three seasons with a nautical compass on the heel (perhaps a tribute to his start in Seattle). Spike Lee’s made quite the impression on the sneaker game, hasn’t he? While his tenure as an Air Jordan spokesperson was short-lived in comparison to the entire span of the Air Jordan, he made his mark in (arguably) the best stretch of releases – the Air Jordan III-VI – while making a comeback with the Air Jordan XX. The Son Of Mars is a tribute of sorts, encapsulating those five models in a finely-tuned hybrid model, and it finally arrives in a classic Bulls colorway after initially releasing in ‘Pop Art‘ and ‘Club Purple‘, Best Son Of Mars colorway yet? We’re seeing a huge influx of red, white and blue sneakers for the Olympic summer, designs referencing both the United States and its past glories, as well as those designs inspired by this year’s host nation. The first from Off the Wall is this 430 BMX x Vans Japan capsule leaning more on the latter side, a couple of Far East action sports concerns coming together to craft a trio of London-flavored red-and-white-accented navy blue silos. The Vans Sk8-Mid, Chukka Low and what’s likely a San Lucas slide have been blocked identically and each feature 430 branding on the footbed; do any of these stand out enough to warrant importing them upon next month’s release? via Unbar

In a sort of ‘What the Land’ move, adidas surprises us with a new design that despite its glancing connection to the vulc-soled Hardland, opts for a different kind of classic basketball bottom. And that’s not all that makes the adidas Blue Hikelander Snow stand out from the pack, this bubble-quilted, nylon and suede design secured with a wildly inventive elastic cord system. Joining the original Black/Red colorway of the Air Jordan 1 KO is this ‘new’ colorway that borrows the popular ‘black-toe’ colorway of the Air Jordan 1. Believe it or not, this colorway isn’t a KO original, but it sure seems that way and consumers will likely be drawn to this release simply for that reason. On June 2nd, two colorways of the Air Jordan 1 KO will release, so the dilemma of ‘this or that’ will certainly rise up once you spot these side by side at Jordan retailers. Afew x Koi Klub x Asics Gel Lyte III

Yeah we’ve got at least one steady stream of collabo Asics models here in the US, but the folks around the rest of the world have a much easier time grabbing these kind up team-ups. This latest brings in two oustide entities, Koi Klub of Japan and Afew out in Germany, to work on the beloved split-tongue banger the Asics Gel Lyte III in celebration of Germany’s “Japan Day” on June 2nd. The colorblocking is apparently anchored by the Japanese aspect, their Nisshōki flag oozing through the details with the red, white, and black palette as well as the circular hit towards the heel.
