The trainer category continues to heat up for the summer, as Nike is pulling out all sorts of special editions that we didn’t see coming. The Nike Air Trainer SC High QS “Black Elephant” is one of those, a shoe that hit at a handful of European retailers back in March only to disappear shortly thereafter and never be heard from again. Until now-as we’re hearing from at least one stateside shop that’s gonna have them in stores. That would be Sneaker Politics, who will be stocking this Nike Air Trainer SC High this Saturday, May 25th. Continue reading to see the sneakers and hit up your local NSW account to see if they’ll be getting their hands on em.

It only makes sense that Vans would give Odd Future frontman Tyler, the Creator his own sneaker sooner or later. Later seems to be the case in this instance, as the sneaker has been pretty slow to make its way to retail. Tyler has taken to Instagram once again, this time promising that the sneakers will be in stores for June. Shown here is the blue colorway from his set, one that presumably lines up the closest with his personal preferences. Continue reading to see some extra details on the Tyler, the Creator x Vans Old Skool shoe and tell us if you’re excited for them to hit stores.

Kukini cage meets Hyperfuse tape atop a relatively rare negotiation from the Nike Free sole on this recent introduction. The Nike Free Alt Closure Run is perhaps the ultimate slip-on, a combination of tech that ensures superior comfort whether you intend them for casual wear or just want to get somewhere quickly. The Alt Closure’s Free 4.0 bottom finds a happy medium between the updated 5.0 and minimalist 3.0, which makes a perfect compliment to the highly ventilated featherweight upper. Let us know how these compare to the first drop that had roughly opposite color distribution and stick with Sneaker News for release info.

The outpour of Air Jordan IV Retro colorways in a year intended for its successor continues to leave us on the edges or seats as we get a look at the Air Jordan IV “Red Tongue”. You might be reminded of that PE colorway that Jordan Brand athlete Chris Paul wore during a bowling outing as this new colorways also mixes grey, black, red, and blue, but there are a few discrepancies between the two as this latest version uses blacked-out netting and the highlighted “red tongue” whereas CP3s were an alternate color-blocking. As always, Sneaker News will be first to let you know of any release info, so take a look at the full shot below and stay tuned.

LeBron James was an assassin in clutch time during Wednesday’s overtime Game 1 victory over Indiana in the Eastern Conference Finals. This is not the first time LBJ asserted his will in OT against an ECF opponent as the 2007 Detroit Pistons can personally attest. During those early years, King James suited up in his secondary shoe for the postseason, the latest version of which is on display here in the white and black Nike Zoom Soldier VII. Look for the Soldier 7 to make an impact moving forward and take a closer look at this simple yet effective colorway after the jump below.

A little bit of light is finally shed on the release dates for the Nike LeBron X EXT pairs coming this summer. You know, the Nike LeBron X “Black/Mint”, the Nike LeBron X “Denim”, and the Nike LeBron X “Brown Suede”. After some switched around release information, it appears that we’ve finally pinned down when the sneakers will be arriving at European shops (All of which are subject to change as usual). The black/mint will be first up with its June 10th drop, followed by the denim on June 22nd, and the brown suede on July 6th. Most of those make sense except for the June 10th, which is a Monday-so we wouldn’t be surprised if that pair showed up the previous/following Saturday. Continue reading for another look at each and keep in mind that the US dates have so far lined up with those abroad on pairs like these. Also, if you don’t feel like waiting then grab check out each of them available now from ronimo1989 on eBay.

It seems as if the LeBron’s next shoe is also planning a bit of a lifestyle takedown. Shown here is what appears to be the Nike LeBron XI NSW Lifestyle, a sneaker that riffs off the overall shape of the Nike LeBron XI while totally switching out the materials. Instead of that bulky Armorposite plating there’s a clean mixture of brown leather wrapping the upper. It took a long time into the lifespan of the current Bron sig for us to ever see the lifestyle alternate, so a sample popping up this early for the eleventh is indeed a bit strange. The first sight of the shoe comes serendipitously on the same day that Darrin Crascenzi, designer of the LeBron crown logo, was named to Fast Company’s list of Most Creative People. Check out the Nike LeBron XI NSW Lifestyle after the jump and stay tuned to Sneaker News for updated info as soon as it’s available.
