The work week is almost over, which means we’re back with another rundown of the latest sneakers headed to retail shelves this weekend. While the Air Jordan 14 had a more than formidable summer, the shoe will close things out with the original Air Jordan 14 “Black Toe” returning to its one-piece leather roots. That won’t be the only Jumpman release, as they’ll nod at their longest tenured athlete in Derek Jeter with a pinstriped Air Jordan 1 as he comes closer to hanging up his cleats. This weekend will be a big one for the Nike Air Huarache too, as two brand new black and red based colorways will be arriving in the “Love/Hate” Pack. Check out a full rundown of the latest batch of sneakers releasing this weekend and let us know which pair you plan on grabbing in the comments section.

reebok classics introduces ventilator tonal ballistic pack 01 Reebok Classics Introduces the Ventilator Tonal Ballistic Pack

Remember this Reebok Ventilator “Tonal Ballistic Pack” previewed at the end of August? Today we get an official look at the collection courtesy of the Vector Brand. The Ventilator has seen somewhat of a resurgence this year, even with most of the focus being put on the likes of the Reebok Insta Pump Fury for its current anniversary. It’s easy to forget that the the Reebok Ventilator was a formidable running silhouette back in the 90s as it featured that signature Hexalite cushioning system and an upper construction that was ahead of its time. The Tonal Ballistic Pack takes its inspiration from the great outdoors, as the heavy suede construction matches the ballistic mesh on the toebox in three bright, monochromatic primary color schemes. Check out more photos of the Tonal Ballistic Pack after the click and know that each colorway involved in the trio are available at select retailers like Jimmy Jazz, Urban Outfitters, BAIT, and Reebok today for $90 a piece.

Nike Flyknit Trainer Chukka FSB “Charcoal”

September 19th, 2014 by | 20 comments

nike flyknit chukka fsb black sail dark grey light charcoal 1 Nike Flyknit Trainer Chukka FSB Charcoal

The Nike Flyknit line as a whole has been just a bit averse to these sort of darker colorways. We can see why – an all black colorway kind of cuts out a lot of the beauty of the Flyknit texture. Fortunately this fresh pair of the Nike Flyknit Trainer Chukka FSB isn’t quite all black. Instead, the sneakers have dark grey and light charcoal going on as well as some white speckling to break up the black bottoms. Let us know in the comments if you’re looking forward to this pair and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more on the Flyknit trainers in questions.

nike free orbit ii sp polka dot white black 0 Nike Free Orbit II SP Polka Dot Pack

The Nike Free Orbit II showed up at retailers and sort of immediately disappeared after that. That’s both in terms of the sneaker selling out quickly and the colorways stopping at those first two. Fortunately there’s more to come from this exciting Nike Free creation in the form of the “Polka Dot Pack” gathered here. There’s a white, black, and a red, on the way, and each of them well be at NikeLab locations on September 25th (If the distribution is anything like the last two, they’ll be elsewhere as well). Get a good look at the Nike Free Orbit II SP “Polka Dot Pack” below and stick with us for developments on this silhouette.

The Nike Air Max 90 “Washed Denim” is headed to retailers this weekend, but no, these don’t seem to be any sort of atmos collaboration afterall. Instead, this is just another creative endeavor by Nike’s in-house design team, one that pairs an 80s acid washed denim on the side panels with an off-white base to contrast with the subtle hints of a premium snakeskin on the branding. Oh, and that was before mentioning all of the signature Infrared in this pair. Where does this Nike Air Max 90 rank in terms of other Nike Sportswear releases this year?
