air jordan 1 jeter Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Derek Jeter

One of the predictions we made earlier this month for September headlines was a Jordan Brand release that paid #RE2PECT to Derek Jeter, the long-time Yankees captain that will call it a career at the end of this month. Turns out we were right, because an Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Derek Jeter” looks to be in the works. This pair’s got some navy blue leather with pinstripe details, and although the “Barons” pair has some baseball inspiration to it, this one’s got a little more luxury appeal. Check out the full shot of these Jeter Jordan 1s below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for a release date.

How strange was it to see a frenzy whipped up over a shoe like the Air Jordan 14 via that Ferrari version? This silhouette is no doubt a celebrated one in the Air Jordan heritage, but we’ve never before seen folks really lining up, obtaining raffle tickets, and RSVPing for the shoe before. Whether or not that will be the case again for the Air Jordan 14 “Black Toe” that’s coming this weekend remains to be seen – but for what it’s worth you can always try the Nikestore route; they’ll have them on September 20 (8am EDT/5am PDT). Take another look below and remember that there also should be some pairs on eBay now.

nike air huarache 2015 Nike Huarache 2015 Sample

Part of all the buzz about the Nike Huarache line this year has to do with its steady bringing back of original styles – we got the “Scream Green” flavor of the Nike Air Huarache, the “Ultramarine” of the Nike Air Huarache Light, and more. For those that like how true-to-the-originals the series has been as of late, you might want to avert your eyes for this one. What you’re looking at is a sneaker that’s been floating around in the form of catalog shots for a while, something we’ll tentatively call the Nike Huarache 2015, which takes the shoe back to its original sandal DNA with some rough ropes holding down the midfoot. See another angle for them after the break and stay tuned for more on this strange Nike Huarache creation.

Several years after its original release and the original Air Yeezys still have relevance in the sneaker game today. This Nike SB Dunk Low is actually an upcoming collaboration with Michigan’s Premier, and intentional or not, there’s a strong Yeezy inspiration in this colorway that takes on that “Blink” look. nike air command force og emerald retro 3 Is The Nike Air Command Force OG Emerald Limited To 50 Pairs?

One sneaker to keep an eye on this Holiday 2014 season is the Air Command Force Retro, a sneaker revived from the vaults in its original form – pump module and all. We recently showed you the original Volt and an enticing new “Spurs” rendition, but many were asking the whereabouts of the Teal pair that David Robinson wore during the sneaker’s debut run. These latest images of the Air Command Force in that “Emerald” suit reveal one frightening detail – a label on the inner face of the tongue that may allude to only 50 pairs being made (Robinson’s jersey number with the Spurs). Let’s hope that isn’t the case, so check back with us for updates on this anticipated Retro release and we’ll give you all the new on the Command Force that you need.

Before their was Air Max there was just Air technology. The gas encapsulated in polyurethane on the shoe’s base became a staple for the Swoosh thanks to inventor M. Frank Rudy, but it wasn’t displayed until Tinker designed the Air Max 1. The first shoe to implement the technology was the Nike Air Tailwind, and that fact can’t be overlooked. Today the shoe continues to be retroed featuring that nylon upper in a number of vibrant colorways, as this Vivid Sulfur/Action Red pair proves that the shoe can hold down some new shades.
