The Nike Air Slant Mid made a significant impact in the mid/late-’90s. It wasn’t a signature cosigned by Ken Griffey Jr. or Deion Sanders, or a tech showcase like the Air Trainer Maxes that sandwiched its 1996 debut. The Air Slant made its mark with a combination of reasonable pricetag and extremely durable construction. Just look at the Air Slant and you get the sense that this is a rugged shoe, from its monstrous midsole and turf-eating traction to the angular upper that often reveals strong contrasts. Click through to see this 1996 original colorway up close and head to Nike Sportswear shops to get yours this Saturday, May 25th.

The three Air Trainer SC II High Quickstrikes releasing this weekend aren’t unified by division or conference, but all of them are like this other drop in connecting to Bo Jackson’s inimitable legacy. The Nike Air Trainer Max ’91 goes the most direct route, applying Jackson’s ‘BO KNOWS’ slogan to the straps of a colorway so Silver and Black it had to have a Raiders logo on the heel. Let us know which of the upcoming NSW NFL QS releases you want most and check out some new shots of the ‘Bo Knows’ Air Trainer Max ’91 in the meantime – a release is going down this weekend and there’s some matching apparel to be had!

The adidas Crazyquick was a sneaker very much in the national eye during March Madness time, thanks to finals of that tourney being an all adidas affair. The shoe has seen plenty of NBA usage as well, although not on such a universal level given that sponsorships there are determined on a by-player basis. Offering up more for the laymen is this colorway, a black/purple/teal combination that will be in stores come June 1st. Continue reading for some up close shots at this exciting Crazyquick look from adidas Basketball and give us a heads up in the comments if you’d had a chance to play ball in these yet.

If you combine the totally perforated upper from the Air Max Motion with the Free Sole and a lacing system more reminiscent of the Free Inneva Woven, you’ve got another branch off the Nike Sportswear Pinnacle Collection offspring and a dope new summer shoe option. The Nike WMNS Free Advantage remakes itself for this casual application, eschewing the TR Fit-ish Y-vents or Hyperfuse upper in favor of an elegant style that provides an upscale look relative to your average trainer. The Swooshes on these appear when light hits the reflective underlay just right, so check them out in more detail below and get ready because the WMNS Free Advantage SP should arrive shortly.

Taking a recent Footscape Woven Chukka style as a jumping off point, the latest Nike Free Woven goes the extra mile with its mostly navy blue upper. Into this flexible sock-like design we see colorful details stitched into some of the ribbons so as to create a mesmerizing mosaic effect. It’s a different approach than the traditional kaleidoscopic woven rainbow look, and given the sheer number of possibilities, is likely just the start of something that could last for a while (the classic Woven multicolor look dates back to 2000). Stick with Sneaker News for release info and check out more photos of this upcoming Free Woven below.
