Haro Bikes x Vans Footwear Collection

Although Vans is primarily known for pioneering skate footwear, the brand has always had a place among BMX culture as well, which is why the recently announced Haro Bikes x Vans capsule comes as a welcomed surprise to many familiar with both brands’ autonomy within their respective fields. The collection features the Vans Sk8-Hi in royal blue and Vans Era in lime green, each model covered in vintage racing stripes and checkerboards while proudly displaying the Haro logo on the tongue. Vans Custom Culture 2013 – Grand Prize Winner

The winner for the Vans Custom Culture 2013 contest has been announced. Taking home the grand prize of $50,000 was Lakeridge High School from Lake Oswego, OR, whose unique creations won over the celebrity panel of judges in NYC that included Emma Roberts, Whitney Port, and legendary Vans team rider Steve Caballero. Liberty x Vans

The fabrics from the Liberty of London house will wander into another sneaker category this Summer, as Vans has decided to align themselves with that group. So far the sneakers spotted from the collaboration include the Vans Era and the Vans Authentic, with each of the five designs included at the group pulling at different fabrics from the house’s history. There’s paisley prints, floral designs, a sort of mountainous camouflage, and more. Vans OTW “Ballistic Pack”

Expanding on a theme we recently saw employed by the Classics division, the Vans OTW Collection comes forth with a new ‘Ballistic Pack’. The name describes the heavy-duty woven nylon uppers in use on five new drops including the Vans OTW Prelow in navy and orange we showed you earlier this week. There’s another Prelow along with one Ludlow and two Alomars also featuring ballistic nylon uppers and cool colorways, so check out all five below and look for yours at select OTW retailers.

Vans OTW Bedford Boot – Fall 2013

It’s already available in low and hightop form, and now Vans OTW converts one of their most popular silhouettes into something of a boot. The Vans OTW Bedford Boot is quite similar to the original Bedford, but it adds square leather laces, reinforced top eyelets and a rustic brown leather upper for that time-tested rugged feel. The entire OTW Collection is intended as a casual compliment to Vans’ other offerings, but thanks to the classic waffle vulc sole, it’s capable of crossing over for skate use. Vans Madero “Tiger Camo”
