Dubai in and of itself is sort of a hybrid city, caught between embracing a massive wave of development and maintaining its cultural heritage as a capital of the Arab world. Touching on that status is this crazy custom design from Nash dubbed the ‘Bedouin’ and produced for the recent Sole DXB sneaker show, which blends the luxurious upper of the Visvim FBT with the retro tech of the New Balance 1500 sole kit on bottom. The result is, as to be expected, pretty unlike any sort of customization we’ve ever seen before, with the cross-branding choices successfully pairing up two totally different footwear fields. Nike Sportswear’s upcoming footwear collection for the ladies is looking as promising as ever. The Nike Dunk High Skinny returns in some pleasant rustic colorways, but its a new material fashioned by Maraham that looks as soft as it feels. Finally, the ladies will also be welcomed with the all-new Nike Lunar Storm boot, the Chukka Moc, as well as new colorways of the Nike WMNS Air Max Trainer 1. We’ve come to expect calculated insanity from Visvim. Considering their catalogue of embellished chukkas, sandals and hightop sneakers, this might be the best representation of the company’s vision so far. The Visvim Malisset Elk-Folk is a lowtop moccasin-like shoe with a rich, tumbled black leather upper. It sits atop a crepe sole that looks to have a strip of wood on top and features a carbon fiber heel plate. Toss in the corded laces, beads sewn into the toe and tassles on the heel and these are complete (-ly ‘Visvim’). Grab a pair today from colette.

As if the Visvim FBT Lattice weren’t interesting enough, it’s back in some crazy colours. The ‘collared’ chukka appears above in three new suede versions. There’s one each in electric blue, violet and red. Each has a white midsole for a nice summery feel. You might remember these colours, as they graced a pack of Colette-exclusive Kiefers earlier in the spring. Should you be so inclined (and sufficiently wealthy), grab a pair or two from Colette.

Visvim already released their Christo Stripe sandals earlier this month, but these look a little cooler (literally). The Visvim Christo Sherpa Folk appears above in three new editions that look like they could (or already have) handle(d) the toughest of mountain conditions. In a combination of brown joints and another in black. The lighter brown pair features a purple stripe, while the darker has orange accents and the black pair ops for blue. All of these can be yours now if you’re near any F.I.L locations. via HB

Visvim has made its name by adding distinctive twists to classic styles and this newest collection is a perfect example. The Visvim Beuys Trekker Mini-Folk takes the classic Wallabee-like moccasin toed chukka and adss a few tasty touches. These four pairs each follow the same formula: rich suede upper with irregular toebox shaping to enhance the handmade look, a plastic cup on the heel in an accent colour and the same colour replicated on the embroidery of an otherwise white tongue tag. All of them also feature the Clarks’ signature crepe soles, but these look a bit stiffer than the OG Wallabees. There are three pairs in various shades of brown and another in black. The lightest brown pair features purple accents while the others have red and the black pair opts for blue. All three of these are ready now at F.I.L. via HB
