Visvim has risen to critical acclaim on the strength of two classic designs: their FBT takes the chukka to an entirely new level, while the Kiefer capitalizes on a Chuck Taylor-like silhouette. Appopriating another standby in collaboration with French boutique Colette, the Visvim Hockney Folk is a distressed take on the long-standing boat shoe concept.
These rock a navy blue, brick red and white colourway, which is supposed to represent the French flag, but reminds us more of Nike’s do-ups for USA Basketball and other Olympians from the States. These are perfect whether you’re a yankee or rep the Bastille. They’ll even work if you’ve got some kind of split-personality thing going on. The only catch is that because this is a Euro Exclusive, the size 8 pair we found on eBay is going for $631 US, so folks might think you’re crazy no matter what. Via IndividualSole

Japan’s high end footwear manufacturer, Visvim has just released a few new colorways in their moccasin inspired shoe the FBT. These new versions feature a two toned waxed suede upper that is carefully stitched together. The top of the shoes are graced with a shroud embossed with the companies logo while the out sole of each shoe perfectly matches the suede upper. A pair of rawhide laces tie everything together and compliment the shoes nicely. Available now at Visvim accounts such as Huf.

The Visvim Serra Boot has become a staple within the Visvim assortment of products, in a few days these boots will be a part of a collaboration capsule collection with Supreme, and in a few weeks the Spring 2009 Visvim Serra Boot Collection will be hitting all F.I.L shops as well as Visvim retailers. Visvim’s most popular model, the FBT, a moccasin like sneaker/shoe has just been released in five new colorways that are a part of the Waxed 2-Tone series from Visvim’s Fall/Winter 2008 Collection. The five different colorways include Charcoal/Black, Ash Grey/Navy, Tan/Light Brown, Sand/Olive, and Beige/Dark Brown. While the quality is unrivaled on anything that comes from Visvim the price does not come cheap as a pair of these Visvim Waxed 2-Tone FBT’s will set you back 2,880 RMB (~ $411 USD). Visvim collaborated with Supreme on a capsule collection that includes two different colorways of the Visvim Serra Ascent Boot. The collaboration boot comes in two colorways and features a premium suede upper with 1,200 Denier Un-Coated Cordura Nylon with leather lining and a custom low profile midsole. The two colorways include a Black and Red colorway as well as a Dark Brown and Navy colorway, both pairs include a Tan leather lining. You can pick up both pairs as a part of the larger Visvim x Supreme Capsule Collection at Supreme LA and NY on December 29th and in Japan on January 2nd.

Visvim’s Fall/Winter 2008 Collection of Serra Boots has began to hitt Visvim F.I.L. retail doors as well as select Visvim retailers. The boots are inspired by various mountain climbing boots but like all other Visvim products the attention to detail and quality of execution and materials on the Serra Boot is second to none. Using a soft leather to compose the upper of the shoe, Visvim designers selected an array of colors for this season’s style choices including Blue, Pine Green, Yellow, and Purple. Additionally look out for a Visvim and Supreme collaboration of the Visvim Serra Boot in the upcoming months of 2009. via Hiroki Nakamura

While KAWS and his brand OriginalFake have been collaborating a whole lot with Nike as of late, it hasn’t stopped him from collaborating once again with a longtime collabortor, Visvim, on this new Logan Low. After the much hyped release of the KAWS/OriginalFake Air Max 90 and Air Max 90 Current, the New York artist and his brand are working together again with Visvim on this Logan Low. This particular Logan Low features KAWS’ signature artwork on the White canvas upper while the White midsole outsole is a clean and simple vulcanized one wrapped. These will be available in the upcoming weeks at select OriginalFake and Visvim retailers including the OriginalFake flagship store in Tokyo, Japan.

It’s been a week, so it must be time for more new Visvim Keifers. There are three new pairs here, each featuring a two-tone design not seen on earlier Kiefers.
