Visvim and Mastermind Japan, probably two of the highest regarded names in Japanese streetwear, have come together on this collaborative design of Visvim’s Folk Shaman FBT. Featuring the Visvim standby of zippers as a fastening device, these moccasins definitely embody the best of both brands. Some red stitching detailing on the toebox, as well as overall superb quality, does a good job of setting these Visvims apart from all the other moccasin-inspired pieces out there. At around $571, these hardly come cheap, but for some, the quality and prestige inherent to the Visvim and Mastermind Japan lines will more than offset the steep blow to the wallet. These nice pieces are available now from the Art Convenience Store in famed Japanese department store Isetan; more information on said store and the other products it carries can be found here, albeit in Japanese. Visvim has never been one to follow what the rest of the industry is doing at any given moment, and its designs are always something fresh and interesting; there’s definitely no other footwear company out there quite like them. That said, these Visvim Folk FBT Shamans continue the Visvim legacy of creating solid drops with the most unique designs out there. These kicks are based on the old school Clarks/moccasin look, and have the added touch of a very Native-American looking suede skirt ringing the shoes. These Folk FBT Shamans are definitely a great pair of kicks with that interesting Visvim aesthetic, and are definitely something nice for all the shoeheads out there who want something a little different.
