We’re closing out a week en route to one of the biggest sneaker dates of the year – the release of the annual Air Jordan 11. However, tomorrow’s Gamma Blue 11 drop isn’t all that’s worth talking about, because this week was stacked with headlines. Starting off, we saw a bundle of new Air Jordan Retros for 2014, while catching a first glimpse at a new Lifestyle Kobe 9 model. The KD 6 was a big topic with a first detailed look at the “Energy” colorway, as was the LeBron 11 thanks to the series of college PE issues. Supreme x Foamposite hit us late in the week, revealing two colorways in some unique styling that only the streetwear brand can do. Other NSW news included the Year of the Horse Pack, which included the Air Max 1, Lunar Force 1, and much more. The Nike SB Dunk High “Tiffany” looks like its happening for real, which has garnered a mixed response from our readers.

A Kanye West x adidas collaboration may come to life as soon as next September, while Palace Skateboards unveiled its Reebok Workout Low CVS to much praise. New Balance has plenty of great 2014 release to start the year off strong, but Asics is closing out on a high note thanks to Extra Butter’s third installment of the #DL5. Some dope Vans releases are on the way like the 8FIVE2 and Bows & Arrows collaborations, while next year’s Year of the Horse Pack kept us excited for what else can drop in 2014. We discussed some interesting topics like the history Nike Basketball’s Christmas releases and the past December Air Jordan 11 releases, but none had the chatter going like our Sneaker News 2013 Year End Rewind, which covered every major topic of the past year.
