If you’re the type of person who just thinks the Reebok Zig Tech is a rip-off of Nike’s Free soles, we can already bet where you know this colourway from. The latest Zig Tech has that early 90’s Nike Air Huarache look thanks to a blue and grey upper atop the utterly unique green zig-zag sole. It’s a solid look for spring and summer, whether you plan to put them to use running or just grab a few double-takes out on the streets. Stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Reebok Zigtech runners. via Kinstor

Footwear may not be the first few choices for V-day gifts, but the major brands are providing good reason to not go the typical chocolate & flowers route. Top customizer, SBTG, is also on the love tip, but opting for a more dismal perspective. The Die, Die, My Darling custom collection will result in 16 individually hand-painted pairs of Dunk Hi’s featuring distinctive SBTG motif (sawtooth, custom camo and SBTG insignia) along with bullet hole graphic and a hint of pin-up girl inspired by the Memphis Belle B-17F flying fortress warplane. On the back medial panel, a rose graphic is accompanied by Dead End Girl, which is a cue to a MISFITS song of the same name as this collection. Perfectly showing the conflict that is love itself, fresh customs that take on a generic custom without displaying cliche inspirations or corkiness.

LeBron James has been wearing Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier models each year since he singlehandedly took the Cavs to the NBA Finals in 2007. He’s probably hoping that this shoe’s suggestion of carrying over the regular season will inspire his NBA-leading Cavaliers to the chip. The Nike LeBron VII PS means no more Big Z in the Soldiers, but we can only assume most of King James’ cohorts will rock the same shoes again this postseason.
The LeBron VII PS is very similar to the Air Max LeBron VII, but also very different. Most obviously, gone is the 360 Air cushion, replaced by Zoom Air within the new sole. The tongue is also alot bigger, and draws your attention to changes aroundthe ankle collar. These black, red and white joints are likely an away colourup, but you’ll get to find out for yourself before they hit the courts. Expect them at Nike Basketball retailers like Foot Locker on Saturday, March 27th.

Here’s proof that some things are more important than holding a grudge over a missed handshake. Like a chance to remake one of the most memorable TV commercials ever. LeBron James and Dwight Howard would never be in a shoe commercial together, but they would show up with Larry Bird in a McDonald’s spot that evokes his epic game of HORSE with Michael Jordan in 1993. Anyone over 25 is just going to love this, and it’s cool to see some of the stuff that younger guys might have missed, being remixed and made relevant for today. Whether you missed it during the Super Bowl or just wanna see the insane 2010 NBA Dunk Contest that never was, click the jump below for both legendary Mickey D’s ads.

The new Nike Trainer SC 2010 is absolutely blowing up right now. We just saw three dope PEs from two of the NFL’s best known RBs, two more from the 2010 NFL Pro Bowl, and another designed for the best American decathlete in a long time. Nnow it’s back to the other sport that Bo Jackson made his name playing. This pack of Trainer SC 2010s connects the new Flywire-equipped model to its two decade old forebear by giving us a pair for Albert Pujols in a colourway that’s really a little bit closer to the Braves than Cardinals, plus Bo’s pair in the unmistakable Auburn colourup. These are currently unavailable from NikeStore, but expect them at select retailers very soon.

UPDATE: The Trainer SC 2010 20th Anniversary 2-Pack will be dropping in limited quantities at 21 Mercer this Wednesday, February 10th.

Žydrūnas Ilgauskas has been the Cleveland Cavaliers’ center for over a dozen years now, but this is just his second mention on Sneaker News. That’d probably be stuck at 1, but he happens to be teammates with a certain LeBron Raymone James who may, or may not be the most famous basketball player on the planet. In fact, Bron is so famous, that his Nike MVPuppets persona can make Big Z’s felt lookalike a star. The latest MVPuppets commercial gives us a little insight on the Cavs’ remarkable chemistry, and do you think Lil’ Dez is rocking the Wool SB Dunk Highs with his Coogi sweater?

Remember when you were a kid, those goodie-bags you got when you attended your friends’ birthday parties? Those fun-size Snickers bars sure made life grand. Nike gifted a goodie-bag of their own to Pro Bowlers in “La Familia” of Nike athletes and envied friends and family – a goodie bag that would make you forget all about those miniature candy bars. The special edition gym bag includes an assortment of apparel, like a pair of shorts, a t-shirt, a hat, and a special pair of the Nike Trainer SC 2010 in White/Black/Solar Red, the latter color taking part in the Flywire paneling and contrast-stitching. Two great pairs of the Nike Trainer SC 2010 Pro Bowl Edition sure makes it great to be part of La Familia de Nike. via SC.

The Nike Zoom Kobe V Inline was considered the “Home” colourway, but this upcoming rendition appears to do a better job at harmonizing with the Lakers home court. Not taking anything away from the Inline, which does a fine job, but the Inline Kobe V lacks prominence of the trademark Laker yellow. This new Home colourway combines the Laker Yellow and Purple while integrating white and silver on the upper to complete the Home-sweet-home vibe. With the recent revelation of the USC colourway and the upcoming release of the Blackout Kobe V, the Nike Zoom Kobe V is slowly reaching LeBron VII-status with an inundation of colourways, both sensible and out-of-left-field, although i’m sure no Kobe fan is complaining. via FC.T.

Too bad Rasheed Wallace isn’t an All-Star this season, because he definitely would’ve rocked a pair of High Forces for the game. Lucky for us, we don’t have to wait for a ‘Sheed PE or special colourway, because Nike dropped a 2010 NBA All-Star Nike Air Force 1 High for Force-fans to cop. These were officially released this past Saturday along with the four other All-Star Nike Air Force 1s, but these might be a bit harder to come by given their Quickstrike label. The grey colourway is neutral in its tone and Conference allegiance, as this AF1 High takes no sides this year around. If you couldn’t grab your pair on Saturday, Sneaker News found a few from seller shaolin8 on eBay.

Take one iconic running shoe, add a hiking boot, some crayons and blend until smooth. That’s the recipe for this pack of New Balance WRC576FRs, who come to us in two rainbow colourways. One of them has the primary colours plus brown on the tongue, while the other has a sort of American Southwest-styled palette. Both take the NB576 running silhouette up to a midtop boot complete with metal eyelet loops, plus a rugged textured sole. Expect to see both pairs in New Balance retailers soon; they just popped up at Korea’s Kasina.

Gerald Wallace and a couple of his Charlotte Bobcats teammates owe alot of their success to Michael Jordan. Widely considered a failure in his tenure as a GM, Mike’s kicks are making Charlotte basketball relevant with sneakerheads, and the team is on pace for their first playoff birth. Coincidence? Probably. But that doesn’t take away from how nice it’s going to be to get Jordans in those orange and blue colourups. This Air Jordan 9.5 PE for GW3 is a good example. Without this colourway, its a decent if forgettable hybrid of the Birmingham Barons era, but they’re considerably more interesting in orange and white. Enjoy more photos below and stay tuned for more Air Jordan PEs. via Kenlu

The last Nike Air Max 1s we saw with some yellow on them turned out to be a shoutout to soccer in Holland. Some are saying these are a Holland Pack release as well, despite the lack of yellow on Dutch soccer kits. However, they are similarly excellent for this spring. Suede and mesh construction means that a good colourblocking pattern is pretty much untouchable, so it’s obvious who’s going home with the gold (white and grey). You can’t actually bring em back to your crib yet, but stick with Sneaker News for updates. via Kasina

January has come and gone but what’s here today is a new colourway of the Supra TK Society. Rose (or
light pink) may not be a popular choice of color among men, but hey, it works. The color tone is
very subtle and would work just fine in your everyday clothing line-up. The best part about this new
colourway may be the satin-y finish on the tongue – and we all know the tongue might be the most
important component of the TK Society. These are available now at Supra retailers across the globe.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks since the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind 2010 was unveiled, but here’s the first women’s colourway. It’s a colour-by-numbers pink and shrink here, but Nike is just so skillful with the grey tones these days that it manages to look fresh. Those jewel-like Air bubbles would be appropriate with those Juicy Couture sweats, if you’re still into that sort of thing. Or black yoga pants, whatever; you’ll look good as long as you cop these Tailwind ’10s from id4shoes on eBay.

The Sweet Classic High is yet another Nike brought back out of the archive vaults to emphasize the minimalistic trend catching on in footwear lately. In a canvas upper, it also takes cues from one of the most classic of sneakers, the Converse Chuck Taylor. In fact, we saw how a black pair of these canvas joints really can be mistaken for a pair of Chucks. And unlike leather forms of this particular model, not only is the Swoosh screenprinted directly onto the canvas upper, but the profile is also accompanied by giant Nike branding. In black with an orange/yellow gradient, these are a nice one-up from your typical canvas high-tops. Available not at Finishline.
