Gourmet goes all black with this pair, a collab they whipped up in conjunction with current it brand Black Scale. The silhouette selected is the Gourmet the 35, a mid-level banger from the lifestyle label that gets quite the textured upgraded. The black leather utilized has a strange pattern of slits in it, giving the sneakers an extra tactile dimension. Back at the start of the 2013 NBA Playoffs, Jordan Brand unveiled a collection of PEs including new Jordan Super.Fly 2 colorways for Blake Griffin. The black ‘away’ edition is quite similar to a style set to release in the third quarter, the key differences being Griffin’s exclusives had a white sole whereas these go black on bottom. They’re paired with a Miami Heat edition for the release scheduled not too far after the potential back-to-back championship celebration. Yet another first-hand look at an unreleased Nike KD shoe as we get a look at this Grey/Red/Royal PE that we saw several weeks back. We know for a fact that this colorway won’t release because designer Leo Chang confirmed just give (the White Gold, Superhero, OKC Home, the “Easter” Mint, and the Team Orange joints that we just dropped the release date for), so through the computer screen might be the only chance you’ll see them. Animal print suede is a recent development that’s given the recent wild pattern trend a boost in the footwear department. The latest examples come from the German Cat, as the Puma Suede and Stepper take on three leopard-accented colorways each. The Suedes are mostly leopard with solid Formstripes, while the Steppers roughly invert this distribution, with the rosettes applied to just the ankle collar. Ronnie Fieg’s Asics creations continue to spill over onto the silhouettes of other brands via the custom scene. It’s the “Salmon Toe” palette that gets ported over this time, with the Air Jordan IV picking up on the pink-fronted look. Everything from the tongue-label area Jumpman to the side wings get touched up with that specific shade of pink, with the final result ending up pretty true to the colors of its inspiration if not the materials. The University of Oregon Ducks’ sprig football game, a grand tradition out in Eugene, is one that’s got some special footwear for 2013. Shown here is the Nike Free Trainer 5.0 “Oregon Ducks” version, a sneaker outfitted with a crazy 3M treatment across the Chinese finger trap upper and plenty of yellow strike oozing into the details. They appear to be a PE at this point but as you know, a handful of the “Oregon” oriented trainers have made their way to market in the past so we wouldn’t totally rule that out this time. The Nike TW ’14 will be the first golf trainer from the Swoosh camp to make it onto NIKE iD. Its arrival in that coveted customizable range will happen on the same day as the sneaker’s retail release proper-June 7th. The whole simultaenous debut of a sneaker at retail and on NIKE iD is a frequent choice these days, one that we’d have to imagine undermines the base model’s ability to have any true signature colorways just a bit. The Nike KD V Elite in orange/yellow/blue will release on June 15th. The pair was the first of the Nike KD V Elite colorways we ever saw and appears to be the last one set to hit retail. At first glance they have a vague “DMV” vibe to ‘em, but a further look reveals some photo blue sections that pull them in closer with the Oklahoma City colors. The sneaker has been pretty elusive to date, but with their release looming imminent we should start to see some clearer photos any day now.
