Shown here is a pair of the Reebok Insta Pump Fury with that BAPE line’s logo on the tongue button. It’s not at all shocking that a brand whose first Weapon collaboration with Converse told us “War is Big Business”, would team up with one of the world’s foremost purveyors of stylish camouflage prints. The Brand with the Three Stripes brings together two giants of the streetwear world as Japan’s A Bathing Ape team up with West Coast kings Undefeated for a trio of military-inspired releases coming up in just over two weeks. The UNDFTD x BAPE x adidas Originals Campus comes in your choice of olive or black, two subdued camo-lined styles that play the background to a GI Joe of a ZX 5000 runner. We’re back with some detailed photos of the A Bathing Ape x adidas Originals Superstar 80s ‘B-Sides’, giving you an up close look at the various bits of Bape flavor that make these adidas so special. Hit the jump to take a look at the full set and stay tuned with us for the August 13th release of this sneaker. via HS

A Bathing Ape is known for their reinterpretations of American classics that have over the years included a variety of adidas-inspired designs, but this latest release sees Nigo connect with The Brand with the Three Stripes to collaborate on one of the ones he borrowed. The Bape x adidas Originals Superstar 80s ‘B-Sides’ is uncharacteristically calm for a Bathing Ape release, but then again, a quick look back over their recent offerings elicits a similar reaction. A simple off-white suede with navy blue leather accents and just a hint of gold on the tongue is a can’t miss colorway for summer, though they’re expected to hit retailers toward the tail end of the dog days with an August 13th scheduled release.

A Bathing Ape’s footwear collection is a series of offerings based on American classics, this latest model the brand’s first foray into the world of skateboarding sneakers. The BAPE Yanksta ‘Action Milo Print’ applies the brand’s cartoon mascot to the midsole of a model who owes its existence to Vans. This silhouette is quite similar to Off the Wall’s Era lowtop but the foxing band on the Yanksta is about as wide as an entire pack of Eras combined. These joints hit BAPE’s NYC flagship this past weekend and their surprisingly low-key colorways are now available at A Bathing Ape‘s web shop.
