In a recent interview with ESPN The Magazine, Derrick Rose revealed that after losing to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, he got a bit reclusive and didn’t leave the confines of house for a week, placing the blame entirely on himself. Of course, once he got out of that funk, Rose stepped back onto the court to work on his game, even taking pointers from Kobe Bryant. Rose stated he worked primarily on his isolation game (really, can it get any much better?), so come Christmas Day, watching the 2010-11 NBA MVP move around the court would be like watching a choreographed masterpiece of dance. This is where the ‘Luxury Hardwood’ colorway comes in; it features a faux wood-grain upper with a burnt black char colorway combined with a Red/Green detailing that reminds us of a certain high-end leather goods brand (no affiliation, of course). The adidas adiZero Rose 2.0 ‘Luxury Hardwood’ will hit stores nationwide at Foot Locker this December 22nd, so check out the detailed angles below and let us know which adiZero Rose 2.0 colorway you like best.

adidas Basketball athlete and 2010-11 NBA MVP Derrick Rose will defend his crown on Christmas Day wearing the adidas adiZero Rose 2.0 ‘Windy City’. Inspired by the Christmas holiday and the blue L train of the Chicago transit system, the ‘Windy City’ draws on a personal note with the Chicago subway map graphic on the insole and the brushed metallic appeal of the upper, mimicking the same finish found on subway cars. The Windy City has released in limited numbers already at a few select retailers in Chicago, but will see a much wider release on December 15th at adidas Basketball retailers like Foot Locker. Check out the new detailed shots of this high-energy colorway and let us know what you think.

Although the ‘Basketball Never Stops’ campaign came from the Nike headquarters, adidas couldn’t agree more. adidas Basketball is also affected by the NBA Lockout (which took a turn for the worse), as its marquee players Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard as well as the rest of its NBA representatives are all forced to play games off the NBA courts, displaying their signature shoes on an unofficial platform. Regardless, adidas Basketball still has a bunch in store for us from the adidas adiZero Rose line as well as the Crazy Light series. The adidas adiZero Rose 2.5 comes a number of new colorways, like a ‘China’ version with unique, molded detailing and a White/Green/Yellow Oakland A’s rendition, while the Crazy Light and Crazy Light low return in a few new colorways. Check out what’s to come after the jump and let us know what catches your eye. via hoopchina.

The back of his latest adidas Basketball signature sneaker reads ‘All Flights Cancelled’, but is this one of those ‘careful what you wish for’ situations for Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose? The reigning and youngest ever NBA MVP might not get the chance to follow up on his spectacular breakout season with the league’s latest labor dispute threatening to take games off the regular season slate, but Rose’s adi-sig will continue just like LeBron James’ latest with a retail release right around the corner. The adidas adiZero Rose 2 goes with a SprintFrame to stay light and breathable while the EVA cushioned midsole adds a new ‘Lava Cilia’ traction pattern to the outsole for improved court feel. Click through for some closeups and a video with D-Rose himself, and pre-order this October 6th drop today at Eastbay.

Michael Jordan ensured that the combination of white, red and black on basketball sneakers will forever be linked with his Chicago Bulls, and though MJ was last spotted in adidas while he was still in high school, that doesn’t mean Three Stripes can’t have their own Windy City hero. Reigning NBA MVP Derrick Rose is the league’s youngest ever, and whenever he gets back to the United Center hardwood, he’ll be wearing the new adidas adiZero Rose 2.0. The initial three adiRose 2.0s will release exclusively at Foot Locker on Thursday, October 6th, home and away colorups joined by a blackout edition you’d expect to see during the Bulls’ annual circus road trip, assuming the league’s own sideshow is settled by then. Click through for closer looks at all three pairs and stick with Sneaker News for future adidas adiZero Rose 2.0 release dates.

adidas Basketball’s marquee athlete Derrick Rose wrapped up one of most successful campaigns ever for a third-year NBA pro. He took the Chicago Bulls to a league’s best 62 wins while earning the MVP award and a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals. Like their Nike counterparts, adidas sent its top basketball athletes to China this summer to represent the brand and share their talents with the basketball-crazed country, and recently, adidas dropped a limited run of the adidas adiZero Rose 2.0 ‘Windy City Rose’ edition – a Black/Red colorway with a minor splash of aqua blue on the upper and on the shoelaces. The adiZero Rose 2.0 boasts some dope insoles – the right depicting the Chicago transit map and the other showing the flight info display (only Chicago is cleared for flight). Check out the detailed images of the adidas adiZero Rose 2.0 ‘Windy City Rose’ after the jump and let us know what you think of this sweet special edition colorway of Rose’s second signature shoe. via us10.

With the NBA enjoying its most talent-rich period since the late ’80s/early ’90s, Derrick Rose will face a seemingly impossible task in repeating as NBA MVP. But the simple fact that Rose is already the league’s youngest ever most valuable player stands as a testament to the preparation he received during a single year at the University of Memphis, along with four seasons at Chicago’s Simeon Career Academy. This new adidas adiZero Rose 2.0 is designed with the Wolverines in mind, though the Electricity accents on this pair offer a considerably more exuberant take on their school colors than his 2011 All-Star adiRose 1s. Click through to see more angles of the ‘Simeon’ adiZero Rose 2.0 and stick with Sneaker News for updates on what’s currently slated as a November release. Thanks kham
