It’s a sad truth, but injuries are very much a part of professional sports. There have been as many success stories as sad ones, but with a work ethic and determination like that of the star Chicago Bulls guard and former League MVP, it’s a bit easier to lean toward ‘success’. Had it not been for the knee injury in the Playoffs, Derrick Rose’s Summer could’ve been singing a much different tune; a potential re-match with the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals and a certain roster spot on Team USA is how Rose’s June, July, and August could’ve played out, but although Rose was not part of the roster, his fighting spirit is certainly with his NBA brethren currently vying for Gold. Here we have a look at a Olympic/USA Gold inspired colorway of the adidas adiZero Rose 773 that D-Rose might have been wearing at the Gold Medal Game (we already showed you a USA colorway), so check out angles below and cop your pair now directly from adidas.

Derrick Rose stuck a dagger in the depleted Lakers on Christmas Day, and while it wasn’t a victory of the same magnitude as another famous Bull’s triumph against Showtime some twenty and one-half years earlier, it did indeed prove once more that the league’s reigning MVP can come out on top against event the most elite competition. And if Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, both former MVPs, can have multiple Nike Basketball signatures running in parallel, it only seems right to give young D-Rose his due and continue expanding his Three Stripes empire. The adidas adiZero Rose 773 focuses specifically on a certain section of Chi-town Rose calls home (at least its name, anyway). The design is somewhat sleeker than the already-svelte adiZero Rose flagship line, but this white pair carries with it a comparable level of detail thanks to the multi-gauge perforations running down either side from the toe. Click through for another look and let us know if you’d rather have these or one of the other Derrick Rose adidas, and keep your eyes peeled for updates before the fall/winter 2012 drop date. via RegularOlTy
