adidas Skateboarding isn’t restructuring or collaborating with Levi’s; they didn’t create a 4/20 sneaker and haven’t dropped any frustratingly-limited releases. What the Three Stripes skate divison does have, however, is a seemingly neverending supply of classic lowtop designs to which simple colorways can be applied beautifully and in large numbers. Their latest round of releases includes drops ranging from Lucas Puig’s white adidas Skate Rod Laver Vin to Dennis Busenitz’ grey/green Samba-inspired sigs, along with standby models like the adi Ease and Campus Vulc. Check out the entire collection below and grab yours from select retailers like DQM.

adidas Skateboarding might run into some legal issues if they tried to explicitly market this release as a ‘Quickstrike’, but there’s no doubting the similarities shared between their latest drop and some of Nike SB’s highlights from the past decade. The adidas Skate Busenitz is pictured above in a special ‘Bluesnitz’ colorup that pairs a watery suede upper with a gum sole and just a hint of yellow, and will only be distributed at core skate shops. They also come with a special sticker pack that features a variety of icons in adidas’ traditional royal blue, and you’ll find them available now at MIA.

He has one of the most distinctive surnames in all of skateboarding, so why shouldn’t Dennis Busenitz’ adidas Skateboarding signature model stand out from the crowd? The adidas Busenitz is inspired by soccer legends like the Samba and Copa Mundial, but those classics never saw their outstretch tongues dipped in the kind of monochromatic builds that make up half of this new six-pack. The rest employ the simple two-tone high-contrast look this silhouette freely offers, which means this spring collection has quite a lot to offer within a relatively narrow range. adidas Skateboarding just offered up a couple glimpses into their plans for early 2012, but much like the brand that’s their biggest hurdle in the skate sneaker space, Three Stripes’ spring ’12 kicks are coming out in time to capitalize on the holiday shopping rush. The star of this set is clearly the adidas Busenitz, replicated across three colorways true to the design’s Samba influence, especially the black/white/gum edition. There are also two new Eldridge lowtops, one in Dark Cinder and another cosigned by Pete Eldrige in Cardinal Red suede, about the same shade you’ll find on the stripes of Lucas Puig’s latest Skate release. Check out all six pairs in more detail after the jump and look for these now at select adidas Skate retailers like Premier.

While a certain other footwear giant may turn more heads with their skate line, adidas has been quietly building a strong collection of kicks for the action sports set. adidas team rider Dennis Busenitz reps the long-tongue heritage of the adidas Samba in his signature model, the adidas Busenitz. Much in the same way that Nike SB took the Dunk, a basketball shoe, and reappropriated its style for the skate crowd, adidas has flipped the Samba, a staple soccer shoe, with performance upgrades to make them street ready. This clean black and white colorway benefits from cream hits of suede to break up the two tone combo, with a deep brown gumsole on the bottom for traction and a bit of classic flavor. Hit the jump for more pics of this no nonsense colorway and head to Flatspot to grab your pair now.

Many have suggested Nike SB is getting back to its roots this year, as evidenced by the rehashing of familiar old colorways along with a return to simpler palettes in general. But if you look at the history of adidas Skateboarding, while we’ve seen several head-turners over the years, it’s just as easy to argue that Three Stripes’ skate division has always been offering the kind of simply satisfying looks that took hold in the early to mid ’90s. Take these three new pairs, for example — each of them uses no more than three colors on a classic silhouette to offer a trio of timeless looks in the adidas Skate Ronan (Pete Eldridge’s pro model), the Dennis Busenitz sig and a campus vulc that looks good no matter who’s wearing’ em. Click through to see all three and grab these from select adidas Skateboarding retailers like Premier.
