adidas Originals issued a dope ‘Back to Campus’ pack last fall, pairing the iconic Campus lowtop with colorways borrowed from three of the nation’s foremost institutions of higher learning.  Stanford, Texas and Georgetown all made appearances on these two-toned suede designs, and it appears the last has come back for a graduate course on the 1982 NCAA Basketball Championship.  These new mita sneakers x adidas Originals Campus 80s are the second collabo from the Japanese sneaker specialists this year (and their third Campus overall), the grey pair of which is a Georgetown-revisiting foil to the soft blue Carolina Tarheels-ish edition.  These will be up for grabs at mita come Saturday morning local time; do you see an import in your future?

adidas Originals Campus 80s “Snakeskin Pack”

A couple of years before the animal print craze we’re currently enjoying got started, a few brands ventured outside the post-recession box to offer some wild styles accented by snakeskin.  adidas came through with subtle variations on a couple of its classics, including snakeskin detailing on the Stripes and heel badges of the iconic Campus lowtop.  This latest run sticks the scales strictly on the back-end, but you could easily argue that the bold suedes used on these new adidas Originals Campus 80s make them even more compelling.  Aqua, yellow and black styles also have the heel loops we see on select releases and you’ll find all three available now at select Three Stripes stockists like UNDFTD.

Nike Sportswear’s VNTG series has been polarizing sneakerheads for about five years now, evenly splitting the masses between those who love the oxidized look and others who’d prefer to let their kicks age naturally.  adidas Originals has typically opted for other ways of expressing a vintage vibe with their releases, but on this new teamup with mita sneakers, they’ve authored something that’s going to be even more of a hate-it-or-love-it affair.  The mita sneakers x adidas Originals Campus 80s pair black nubuck and a pearly University Red compliment with one of the yellowest soles we’ve ever seen on a new sneaker.  They have an antique look that’s only going to get better as those crisp black uppers get banged up a bit, but first you’ll need to order your pair from adidas or at select retailers like Mr R Sports. The New Zealand men’s national rugby union team hasn’t been able to recapture their championship glory since winning the inaugural Rugby World Cup back in 1987, but adidas is ready to support the All Blacks’ hosting efforts, and perhaps more importantly, offer an answer to Nike Sportswear’s recent England ‘New Blood’ collection.  The Qubic x All Blacks x adidas Originals Campus 80s ’All Heroes’ are done as cleanly as the Kiwis’ traditional kits, the traditional silver fern on their heels matching the dope deluxe metal carrying case available for only 15 of the 100-pair run.  Click through to see the top-notch quality up close and let us know who wins in the 2011 Rugby World (sneaker) Cup.  via SF

Footpatrol Adidas Campus 80s B Sides 101 800x600 570x427 Foot Patrol x adidas Originals Campus ’80s ‘B Sides’ Release Info

The adidas Originals B-Sides collection has been pretty epic so far, revisiting big name collabos in the brand’s history with a “What If?” approach. That theme seems especially fitting for Foot Patrol, the landmark UK store that has risen from the dead, reopening its doors in 2010 to serve the sneaker community again. On their first go round with adidas, Foot Patrol went for an animal motif, with a trio of adidas Campus 80s done up with snakeskin stripes. This time around horsehair is the pick, showing up on the medial stripes in a mixture of marine and black. These suede beauties will be available at Foot Patrol at 9AM on Saturday, 17th September 2011 and are going to just as limited as the rest of the B-Side collection. Take a full look at the sneakers after the jump and head over to Foot Patrol for the extra info for online orders.
