The adidas Originals Campus AS made its first appearance this June, a fresh take on a classic model whose new suffix appears to denote the ‘alternate sole’ setup that sets its apart from the original.  Additional changes to the AS Campus include the leather piping that enhances the eyestay line and the molded heel counter that emerges from that new cupsole.  This newest drop is done in the simplest colorway possible in black with white Stripes and gold leaf on the Trefoils, so check out more photos below, then buy yours from stores like Titolo.

kazuki x adidas originals 2013 preview Kazuki x adidas Originals 2013 Preview

Excepting the dope new blue kzKLOT Superstars that dropped this June, Kazuki Kuarishi’s name has gone cold around these parts.  The onetime mainstay of the adidas Originals by Originals campaign has seen his role dialed back a bit as Jeremy Scott’s supernova burns ever brighter, but that doesn’t mean the Kazuki x adidas partnership is over just yet.  The new Kazuki x adidas Originals Campus will create ‘Breathe’-able styles across two suede & mesh pairings, while  a running mashup based largely on the ZX 380 and reminiscent of earlier ZXZ releases utilizes similar materials and colors to a different end.  Check out both colors of both pairs below so you can decide which is best and stick with Sneaker News for US release info.

bape undftd adidas originals consortium collection 1 Bape x UNDFTD x adidas Originals Consortium Collection

It’s not at all shocking that a brand whose first Weapon collaboration with Converse told us “War is Big Business”, would team up with one of the world’s foremost purveyors of stylish camouflage prints.  The Brand with the Three Stripes brings together two giants of the streetwear world as Japan’s A Bathing Ape team up with West Coast kings Undefeated for a trio of military-inspired releases coming up in just over two weeks.  The UNDFTD x BAPE x adidas Originals Campus comes in your choice of olive or black, two subdued camo-lined styles that play the background to a GI Joe of a ZX 5000 runner.  Undftd already had their hand at the ZX 8000 during the Consortium aZX mega-merger and now they can add 1988′s other Torsion headliner to their sneaker resumes; have a closer look below so you can let us know where your allegiances lie and stick with Sneaker News as we approach the Friday, October 26th release date.

adidas bape black undftd Bape x UNDFTD x adidas Campus

Has UNDFTD become to go-to U.S.-based partner for great sneaker collaborations? Their iconic strike-through tally logo has become a mainstream symbol of urban lifestyle – particularly in footwear – and this upcoming release in partnership with A Bathing Ape and adidas Originals further proves that UNDFTD is the undisputed leader for these sorts of co-op designs. Using the adidas Campus as the base, UNDFTD and Bape make their marks with the proper gold-foil logo-ing on the heel with A Bathing Ape’s much-duplicated camouflage print on the interior lining as well as the tongue. A far more ‘casual’ package than the trail-inspired ZX 5000 that’s part of this Pack, the Bape x UNDFTD x adidas Campus is set for a release on October 26th. More of the Campus just below, so stay tuned for another detailed look of the ZX leg of this set and we’ll keep you updated on other developments.

adidas Originals June 2011 Footwear @ Extra Butter

adidas Originals tends to rely less upon official release dates than Nike Sportswear, but here’s a case when a whole heap of new Three Stripes classics have come available at once.  When you’ve got a collection like this that runs the gamut of a brand’s heritage models, it can be hard to pick a standout model, so we’ll just start at the bottom of the list (in alphabetical order, that is) with a new adidas ZX500 in a colorway that would have been right at home in Philly around the model’s 1984 debut.  That rounds out the running category, but there are plenty more lowtops thanks to a duo of Gazelle IIs plus one Gazelle OG, the immortal Rod Laver and Stan Smith, and one pair of Campuses.  Rounding out the group are two newer designs, both lifestyle oriented midtops with basketball inspiration in the adiRise Mid and Roundouse Mid.  Click through for shots of the entire set and look for yours at select adidas Originals accounts like New York’s Extra Butter.

Tim O’Connor is ‘All In’ with adidas Skateboarding and while you might look at his name and expect a March release of his signature sneaker to come in green, white and orange, this new drop is even more satisfying without the gimmicks.  The latest adidas Skate Campus Vulc Mid with O’Connor’s name printed in gold on its side panels comes with a blue suede construction held together by white contrast stitches plus a gum brown vulcanized sole for maximum board feel.  These are essentially Three Stripes’ answer to the Nike SB Blazer High, so it begs the question, which do you prefer?  Click through to see more of Tim O’Connor’s latest Campus Vulc and grab yours today from Premier.

adidas Skateboarding – April 2011 Releases

adidas skate april 2011 releases adidas Skateboarding April 2011 Releases

adidas Skateboarding is All In and while this new collection of footwear doesn’t represent their entire team of riders, it’s certainly a formidable set that includes many of Three Stripes Skate’s heavy hitters.  We’ll start with longtime adidas repper Mark Gonzales, whose new adiEase colorway misses the vintage Phillies look by the extent to which its scarlet accents are separated from burgundy.  The next two come in with super-simple white-on-black suede designs, a new Dennis Busenitz pro model and the Campus Vulc Lo.  Last but not least is an equally subdued Columbia blue adidas Skate, alternately known as the ‘Gonz’ for its affiliation with Mark, yet these omit his name in the typical gold foil in favor of clean as can be white Stripes and sole.  Click through to see the entire set and look for these now at select retailers like Politics.
