Dwight Howard is ready to being a new chapter in his career, as the big man will head down to Houston for the time being to see how he fits in with the Rockets regime (You can thank Slim Thug for that one). On feet for Dwight will be the new adidas D Howard 4, a sneaker that slides in a little bit of Crazyquick technology across the bottom. That choice remains a bit of a confusing one given that his game isn’t entirely oriented towards speed, but we suppose it’s just a sign that it will be an across the board basketball cushioning system for the time being. After the shortest stay in LA for any major Lakers acquisition, Dwight Howard moved from the second to fourth most populated US city during free agency. D-12 has some huge shoes to fill in Houston, a town synonymous with Hakeem ‘The Dream’ Olajuwon and the first ‘Twin Towers’ pairing with NCAA legend Ralph Sampson. The literal shoes he’ll be filling for the coming season are the adidas adiPower Howard 4s, shown here in a team photos sporting a red and white PE colorway to match the Rockets’ away uniforms.
