adidas recently bolstered their ZX running line but what about taking things back to the adidas Originals EQT tendencies? It looks like that’s the way things are headed as a recent preview gave way to obscure retros ranging from the Running Guidance ’93 all the way to the revitalization of their EQT Running Cushion 91. The shoe’s 1993 counterpart is the usual retro of choice for the three stripes, but today we get a look at the upcoming “Rubin Red” variety of the Running Cushion 91 that sees a combination of black suede, grey mesh and casual red accents. Let us know what you think about this upcoming release and be sure to stick with us after the click for a better view of the latest adidas retro runner.

adidas EQT Cushion “Collegiate Red”

There has definitely been a bit of confusion this spring with the naming on two of adidas Originals’ retro runner bringbacks.  This comes from the fact that both models in question have predecessors with the same name, and that both are fairly generic terms that apply to just about any running shoe.  But to make it more clear, it was the Support that returned on the first of February and has the polymer eyelet wing on its medial side (you know, for support), and the adidas EQT Cushion 92 is a spiritual successor to the late ’80s ZX x000 releases with its external heel counter.  Click in to see more of the ‘Collegiate Red’ EQT Cushion, then cop yours starting Saturday at shops like Titolo.

adidas oddity eqt cushion summary adidas Brings Back the Oddity Series

adidas gave a name to the colorful high contrast look that came to typify the middle ’00s when they christened the ‘Oddity Series’ back around 2005.  The Originals division has been bringing back so many different things of late, it’s only natural that they’d reach for a highlight from the recent past to complement some of the golden era stuff.  And by combining Oddity colorways with the just resurrected adidas EQT Support and Cushion, we get a layered bringback approach that echoes the harmony created by mixing so many colors you wouldn’t typically think to.  Have a closer look at both pairs below and stick with Sneaker News for more details on what looks like a March release.

And while these two adidas EQT retro runners set for March aren’t officially part of the 2014 Oddity comeback (…or are they?), the multi-colored nature sure does remind us of the mid-2000s classics. The adidas EQT Cushion and EQT Support featured here will indeed hit stores next month, so check out some extra details below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more on what’s shaping up to be adidas Originals’ best year yet.
